Tui Magic Life Kalawy

This was my 2nd time at this resort. What a great place! The activities keep high standards and everybody's nice to you. I recommend all fitness classes . Aqua cycling was my favorite! The food is good and there are a lot of options for everybody. They even have gluten free bread now( and a couple of vegan options). The spa ladies are super nice and the quad tours( Chill tours) are good. Chill tours' Body and Koma were really funny! If you like hiking, I recommend the Nordic walking lesson in the desert. It was tough, but good exercise. All in all , a perfect holiday

Just returned from an 8 day stay. Had an amazing time. Don't understand the negative reviews. We found all the staff to be really friendly and helpful. When we got there we were given a double room, but asked to be moved to a twin. Reception sorted it without any problems. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, but there's so much to do, it really doesn't matter. There is something for everyone, from chilling at the relaxing pool, getting involved at the activity pool, snorkeling off the jetty or paddling in the lagoon, to name but a few. Advice for anyone who wants to snorkel, if you go down and there's a red flag, check back later in the day, if conditions change for the better the flag will change. There is a few cat's, but unless you are absolutely terrified of them, I wouldn't let that put you off. As long as someone in your group is ok to shoe them away they should leave you alone. I think maybe the hotel team are missing a trick with the cat's. I know if there was a way to sponsor the cat's, and get maybe a few photos sent every few months, I'd be happy to sign up. We went out on a fabulous boat trip with the guys at Chill tours. There's a few different companies that do trips straight from the hotel ( by that I mean, they only go from this hotel, so no collecting guests from other hotels) they'll be a trip to suit everyone. We didn't go to the welcome meeting with Tui, and I don't think you need it, all the information you need is in the app, or you can simply just ask any of the staff questions. This complex has got to be one of my favourites. We arrived late, closed to midnight after travelling for around 15 hours with 2 small children, the receptionist immediately took our bags and told us to go get food before we check in, there was a generous spread laid out for late arrivals. Once checked in we were taken to the room, which was immaculate, spacious and amazing Aircon which is needed in Egypt. The mini bar was fully stocked, kettle and tea / coffee filled everyday. Few highlights.. Cleaners: they cannot work hard enough, everyday the room was cleaned to a very high standard, never did we have any issues and the children loved the towel animals left daily. Pools: There are 4 pools I believe, 1 with water slides, again immaculate, there was once an incident in the pool and the life guards immediately cleared the pool to ensure everyone was kept safe. All pools are a good size and we never had a problem with sunbeds. Food The food was incredible, having a particularly fussy child there was always something to eat, for the rest of the family the Food was certainly a highlight for is, there was so much good food, always fresh and there were chefs at every station ensuring the food was on a continuous loop so never standing for long. Every day was a different theme. The staff Couldn't do enough for you and never expected anything in return, if you do want to tip I recommend American dollars or euros, preferably not coins as its useless to them but the start are honestly grateful for anything even chocolate bars! The beach The was by far the highlight for us We did watersports everyday, surfed, paddle boarding and kayaking as well as diving from the jetty.. If your allergic to cats be aware there are a lot of them here but they certainly are not a problem, the hotel looks after them well. If anything it adds character to the hotel. I don't have a negative thing to say about this holiday it was simply 5* I will certainly be returning

Stayed here from 20th September for 11 nites ,we stayed In room 13107 ,room was really lovely ,bit dated but clean and comfortable, beautiful sea view . Fridge has complimentary drinks in, and water supplies are daily . The beach is nice but not sandy more gritty, but it didn't bother us . The water is clear and calm In the cove but can get bit rough further out for snorkeling. ,sunbeds on the beach are plenty and you can always get one during the day , although people do reserve them from very early .. The pools are great and staff are always around , and bringing you drinks they work very hard to keep the place clean and tidy . The food is ok and the ingredients are on show to see what's in it . I'm very picky and found the food ok you won't starve.lol There are a few negative bits but think that might be just me. 1 .I think there should be WiFi at every pool area as this was hit and miss around the site . 2 Ice cream should be available all day at every pool , like the snacks are . 3 think there should be some cordial choice not everyone likes juice or fizzy drinks 4 would be nice to have had a free shuttle bus to go into hurghada and back for people who like to go shopping as paying for a taxis isn't cheap. The hotel is geared up for the Germans I think that's a shame as there are other nationalities there . The staff are amazing and work so hard . From the gardeners, kitchen staff . Cleaning staff . Waiters . Pool attendant. . You all do amazing and would recommend this site and would go back

Honest Review Tui Magic Life Kalaway Review - it could have been amazing. My wife and I stayed at this resort for 11 nights. We purposely picked this resort for its reviews, ease of access to Luxor, house reef and photos online. Initially when we arrived at the resort we were disappointed to find that due to high winds we were unable to snorkel off the jetty but made use of the lagoon. Sadly this continued throughout our stay resulting us in only being able to snorkel from the jetty on 2 days we were there. When we did get to snorkel from the jetty the reef the sea life was incredible, we saw sea turtles and many other fantastic animals. We upgraded to a sea view room which was sorted directly with the hotel, we couldn’t have been more pleased with the position in the hotel we had, we overlooked the jetty, lagoon and also out of the wind. The complimentary drinks in the mini fridge were a nice touch and our rooms were always kept immaculate. Our cleaner worked very hard and was always very friendly. Sadly on day 3 of our holiday both my wife and I got very sick with a stomach bug. We visited the on site pharmacy and purchased the recommended medication £60 in total. This medicine completely flushed us both out which resulted in us both being unable to leave our room for the next 3 days. After this whilst still not recovered we pushed ourselves to go on our excursions we have planned. Overall the food was ok - not amazing. On more than one occasion we made it clear to our waiting staff that I had an allergy to dairy/eggs yet only to be presented with dishes containing cheese even when it was specified as dairy/egg free on the menus. It’s clear that staff need additional training for allergies to ensure other guests don’t get sick. The first excursion was a dolphin boat trip with Chill Tours which we highly recommend 10/10 experience. Whilst they do hassle you an annoying amount whilst you’re relaxing either by the pool or beach it was a great trip. We also visited Luxor on the tui deluxe tour, this was incredible to see all of Egypt’s history. The only downside to this trip was the length of the journey as we didn’t get back to our hotel until 10pm after leaving at 5am. Following these excursions we both continued to feel poorly and our condition deteriorated and by the end of our holiday we couldn’t wait to get back home. Overall the resort is great, staff are amazing but we both were very unlucky with the food and bad weather. We can see that people can have an incredible time here just unfortunate that this was not us.
