Conclusion first. My wife and I stayed at the Crown Plaza for 10 days attending a wedding in the Pune area. The Crown displayed three functions for its guests. Priority on our safety, second their detail to our comfort, and finally the attention they gave to our enjoyment. In the end our satisfaction led me to attempt to leave a tip for each of their 196 employees! And this review does not do them the justice of their dedication. Now the details; Entering the hotel you are greeted by Harpreet and his team. Good security practices while prioritizing the greeting. When we had an altercation with a taxi driver, Harpreet stepped in, had us go inside and arbitrated the solution between us and the driver calmly and professionally. Being welcomed by Sahiba, Babita (?), Santosh and all the front desk and ***agement staff was extraordinary. Their patience for all the key cards we erased with our phones, and help and smiles that made our days so much better. Santosh went so far as offering Uber fare to help us out, when actually his positive waves got my app to work ?!?! (Side note make sure your Uber app is working Before you get in country!!!) In the restaurant Caroline, ***si, Poulami, Souvik and all the staff that I never got the names, the cooks who not only fed us, but introduced us to eating in Pune, showing us the intricacies and combinations of the foods. They Love Food, and want to share that love with their guests. On the fifth floor, the housekeeping staff that I have shamefully forgotten their names, saved us over and over making sure that our clothes were pressed, water in rooms and comfort was ***aged, all while being nearly invisible. My final paragraph goes to the drivers that work at the Crown, they embody all the traits mentioned at the beginning. Mahesh and his counterparts by far were better, calmer, more professional than 90% of the Ubers that we experienced. But then going a step farther that they would get permission to stay with us if we or they had the slightest worry of our safety. Kudos to ***agement staff for that also. One driver (Rashid possibly) waited three hours for us at an engagement when we were worried about how to get back to the hotel after. Of course all of this is supported/inspired by the ***agement and there are so ***y that I never learned their names that I can only express ... THANK YOU
