Ombak Dive Resort Perhentian Island

Самый главный плюс этого отеля это местоположение и супер доброжелательный персонал. От причала с лодкой идти 30 метров, до лонг бич идти 10 минут. Неплохой ресторан при отеле, но сильно дороже ресторанов вокруг, при этом по качеству аналогичен. Каждый вечер можно посмотреть кино в кинотеатре. Завтрак довольно плох- маленький выбор блюд, иногда совсем без мяса, мало фруктов, химический сок, вообщем на завтраке они очень сильно экономят. Свои экскурсии у них тоже дороже чем можно купить в другом месте. Но повторюсь что персонал замечательный и очень доброжелательный.

July 2022 : Rooms and bathrooms are clean, a bit dated BUT clean. Local food was great, breakfast was below average, food generally gets very expensive, and sadly a handful of restaurant/kitchen staff could be the reason why the rating is low. At times, the food can really take a long time to be served even when the restaurant is barely occupied. The rest of the staff (non-restaurant) are extremely friendly and helpful. Housekeeping, front desk, water activity team were nothing but great. They truly are meant for hospitality. July 2023 : Returned as a guest again. Again, I’m happy with the front desk service and state of the room. Breakfast continued to be below average. Local lunch and dinner was bad. Really bad, which is so disappointing. Last year’s local food was so good! Not sure if they hired a new chef? Enjoyed snorkeling both visits. Well arranged, it was just a really fun experience. May return in 2024, just for the room and snorkeling. Will opt to eat at the nearby local eateries. Overall, the staff are great just don’t be surprised to bump into 1 - 2 not so friendly ones.

I visited Perhentian in 2019 and ate dinner every night at Ombak. The menu was varied, the a**osphere was buzzing and the service was good. Fast forward 4 years and the menu was terrible and there were very few customers. As a vegan there wasn't anything I could eat, but the chef kindly made me a curry and bread. I paid for 2 breakfasts but could only eat baguette and jam. It was disappointing and so sad to see such a thriving place go downhill. I won't go back.

Room average, not much facilities, good and friendly reception but the ombak cafe is terrible. The staff attitude is terrible and rude. Don’t take the package basically it is not buffet (multiple choice), it just simple rice, chicken, Vege and eggs n most important, make sure u go early, else u will need to eat those left over. If u ask any refill, they will just walk away like non of their business, n when u try to to order ala carte menu, they will tell u they r very busy and everything also don’t have. Burger out of stock, pizza out of stock.. When u continue follow up then what am I suppose to eat, they will just fried a noodles and tell u.. go n eat the refill with the sarcastic face and keep nagging behind (hey, I understand ur language between). Seriously? That’s the attitude? Maybe u r the only proper cafe on the beach but we pay for the foods not ask for free. Hope u improve ur service. Just go if u love to starve urself and enjoy the bad attitude cafe staff in Ombak. Worst island trip ever in my life. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

Cons- 1.Hotel’s cafe - Cafe food is a bit expensive compared to the restaurants at long beach. We took their meals package and they Provided ala carte menu due to less than 15 customers. Their ala carte menu are repeatable for lunch and dinner for both days. Not much choices as well. 2. The complimentary drinks are same with the ala carte menu. 3.Electricity - still using generators. Cut off time are 10am, 4pm and 8pm. 4.Room - We booked two rooms and both rooms are superb nearby to the generators. Noisy and there are ants in the room. 5. No towel and mineral provided during snorkelling. 6.Wifi connection is pretty poor. The line was bad especially in the room. The wifi was faster at the cafe Pros- 1. Nearby jetty 2. Receptionists were friendly and well versed in English but keep MIA 3. Recommended Snorkelling trip with Zul and Shafiq. Humour and nice. It was fun with the 5 points expenditure. Able to see sharks, turtles and nemo. 4. Less than 10mins walk to long beach

Super séance de plongée avec Isabelle. Première expérience pour ma compagne, et Isabelle a été très attentive et rassurante tout du long. On a fait 2 plongées, vraiment super, on a même pu voir (en plus des poissons bien entendu) une tortue de mer et pas mal de raies :D

Eine der besten Unterkünfte der Insel. Preis Recht hoch aber Standard auf den Perhentians. Zimmer sind je nach Preisklasse zwischen klein und ausreichend, aber leider ziemlich dunkel und ohne Aussicht. Die Anlage wird gut gepflegt im Vergleich zu anderen Resorts auf der Insel. Nettes Personal. Essenspreise im Restaurant sind eher hoch, Qualität ist in den umliegenden Küchen besser. Frühstück ist immer die gleiche Zusammenstellung. Strand vor Ort war zu unserem Aufenthalt nicht zu gebrauchen, da sehr schmutzig. Angeschlossene Tauchschule ist sehr empfehlenswert. Tauchlehrer sind freundlich. Equipment sehr gut. Leider noch kein Nitrox vorhanden. Soll 2023 kommen.

Es muy caro y lo venden como un resort siendo un hotel muy cutre. Todo muy antiguo, desagües oxidados, mobiliario fatal. Mosquiteras rotas, ropa de cama sucia, toallas que dan bastante asco, etc.La habitación nada que ver con las fotos, muy muy pequeña, no cabe nada. El wifi apenas llega a las habitaciones, el baño fatal. Hice la reserva hace 5 meses y como tengo problemas de sueño especifique que me dieran una habitación lo más silencioso posible. Y cuando llegamos me habían puesto al lado de los generadores. Temblaba hasta la cama.

Il posto è immerso nella giungla per cui molto suggestivo, il personale è strepitoso accogliente e attento a qualsiasi richiesta (mi hanno portato anche le valige fino alla barca perchè la spiaggia al mattino è sotto acqua per accedere al resort). Le casette sono molto carine in legno, da abituarsi al bagno che la doccia non è divisa dal resto, ma in tutti i posti è cosi. Noi abbiamo anche mangiato bene sia alla carta che quanto compreso nel menu in full board. Alla sera mettono un film nella parte esterna del ristorante e devo dire che è una cosa molto particolare e che mi ha fatto piacere. in questa zona non ci sono spiagge he valgano la pena, quindi bisogna sempre spostarsi con i taxi boat (se ne trovano tantissimi appena fuori dal resort). Posto consigliato vivamente. Ero in dubbio se soggiornare a long beach perchè avevo un po' paura di annoiarmi alla sera, ma in realtà sono andato a visitare long beach solo una volta ed è troppo confusionaria (cmq sono 5minuti a piedi), qui si sta meglio.
