Ventus Ha at Marina El Cid Spa & Beach Resort - All Inclusive

We liked everything except the waiting time for the advertised lobster on New Years Eve. Once we got it, it was also great. This was our 2nd time at Ventus Ha and we will probably go back again.

This was a very underwhelming experience that we had to make the best of. Check-in was pretty quick but the wait for a golf cart to take you to your room was very long. While waiting for our ride, membership sales tried to get us to sign up to attend a presentation. Not exactly what I wanted to be bombarded with after a long day of travel. Overall the property & rooms were clean but the room had a musty smell. Dinner reservations have to be made days in advance. I called 3 days prior to my arrival & the only availability was 9pm. We were stuck eating buffet for a few nights before I was finally able to get a reservation & even then was turned away because I forgot my reservation ticket and the host wasn’t able to find our reservation in their system. Finally got a reservation for Christmas dinner & we were served 4 shrimp as our meal and told we could get a salad from the salad bar. Room service food was horrible. A good meal was hard to come by. Most days we were just surviving. The Ruf was by far the best experience. The staff up there provide top tier service. This area is supposed to be adults only but it’s not enforced so there were kids up there quite often. The beach is an eye sore. There is a small area where it’s descent but there’s minimal seating so it’s always occupied. This was my first time vacationing in Mexico so I was a bit disappointed. I read the reviews prior to making my reservations but nothing prepared me for what I experienced.

The property is newer, feels very modern, clean and grounds are impeccable and lush. However, there’s not much to do at the resort, sitting in an isolated area of the town, there’s no real beach, but a marina that sits on the other property (not a far walk), with a small sand area and a total of maybe 8 chairs. Being as the most comfortable areas are the pools, it’s disappointing that there isn’t full service available poolside, no food services and extremely limited staff taking drink orders. We were not ever offered to purchase WiFi and cell service is spotty, as honestly expected for Mexico. This wasn’t a horrible stay, and the newness is what goces it a boost; wouldn’t return with all the other options the region offers.

Clean facility , food is terrible !!! Worst beach!!! In Cancun ,Playa del carmen area,rooms are great clean and spacious! Definitely not kids friendly !!

This is our third time in one year. We love how attentive the staff is . The drinks from the wave bar are the best. Very clean. The restaurant options are great. Our 11th year old loves it here . Very peaceful. I enjoy it here because you don’t hear loud music; during pool time the atmosphere is very calm and that’s what I look for . Well , this is our third time in one year and that says everything you need to hear ..

Staff was not great for dinner, didnt offered more to drink, only one baby chair at the buffet restaurant. Food is not great at buffet only at el merkadito. We stopped at the restaurant around 3 50pm the waiter took our order and then around 4 03pm came back to tell us the kitchen was close and it was our fault because it took us long time to order.. the lady chef came out and said she will make us something quick but not all we order. This was our 5th time at the resort but is getting worst, they have to do better with service dont matter what race you are too. The guys at the merkadito very great job truely miguel and jose.

We enjoyed our one week stay.Staff were very friendly and helpful.Food was good but not fine dining but we didn't expect that. Our room was small but adequate and clean and in good condition. They need more umbrellas or trees to provide more shade around the pools. Sometimes difficult to get a shady spot. WiFi at $60 US per device is a cash grab. Should be built in to the price.

We really loved the food, the facilities and the staff. We stayed at Ventus Ha El Cid after staying a week at the Hyatt Ziva Riviera and the difference in quality was noticeable. I had the most amazing meal of the whole Cancun vacation at the Akat restaurant in Ventus Ha. The kids loved the water features at the pool and the kids club. The hotels are spread out but they provide rides in golf carts which makes it easier to get around. The staff was really nice. Huge shoutout to Grisel from the Spa who gave me the most awesome deep tissue massage ever. Also to Paola Avila who is just an amazing person. We can't wait to come back and visit.

Ventus Ha is beautiful. Being able to share facilities and restaurants with its sister properties Ventus and Marina is fantastic. All the a la carte dinner was delicious. Many pool options but we liked the pool at Ventus Ha the most since it was more private and quiet. All the staff work hard and are very courteous. My only knock on this property is that it seemed lack in evening entertainment. Travelled with 11, 9 and 7 yrs old and we found ourselves bored on lot of the nights.
