Rocas Blancas Apartments

we stayed there two nights. took us some time to activate wifi. very basic service. e.g. to get an iron it will cost you 5 euros. family friendly, hss a pool but ee hardly used it since tge beach was within 2 mins walk. location is good. but to find a parking particularly late at night may take some time.

This Apartment complex is very basic, tired and in need of an uplift. It’s obvious its location is what you’re actually paying for , nothing particularly above average for this place. It’s bland. No instructions nor information were available within the apartment. The sofa was unusable, it was faux leather and didn’t sit correctly and was sticky. The kitchen cupboards did not close, nor did the tiny chest of drawers in the bedroom. Very tired furniture. We had 6 coat hangers between us. One pillow each, towels & bedding poor . Our visit was for 4 nights , no housekeeping nor even bins emptied. Towels not changed. By the 4 night bedding felt not nice. There are 2 lots of steps to get to apartments. No good for those with poor mobility. We felt for £500 it was overpriced.

Stayed here for a week in feb 24 rooms or spacious and bathroom was a good size. All very clean also right on ***** to beach and all shops and restaurants only downside is if your checking in at night you have to find your apartment. So no taxi fares required as everything is on your doorstep.Also balcony is a great size and fans in rooms help with the heat. If I was asked to stay again my answer would be yes. I would give Rocas a 9 out of 10

They say never go back!! We should have taken note!. We stayed there in January 2023,and was given a lovey roon with a beautiful sea view, so we booked for 2 weeks there in December 2023. When we got there me my wife and granson, we're given a sea view room, but up stairs, and right next to a disco club, we had already mentioned that we were pensioners, and didn't want stairs, as we find it hard now to climb them. The first night, was horrendous, music banging till 5 am, couldn't get any sleep, the room was small for 3 people, with old sheets on the bed, in fact the room looked like it hadn't been cleaned. Next morning we went to reception at 9.30 when it opened for a few hours, and complained, the receptionist said she would move us the next day, but to a none sea view, and that was all she had available, so just to get away from the noise, we had to except, we didn't even get and sun on our terrace apartment let alone a sea view, which we had all ready paid for 10 months before. The room was cleaner and sheets were clean, so we just excepted it, so we could get on with it. One day I went and put towels out and was stood a few feet away, when the receptionist, came storming out and started frowing my towels off the bed, I had just put down, I asked what she was doing, and she snapped back, we were not allowed to leave towels, but I was 2 feet away, I wasn't doing that, with that she just stormed away, other people could believe what they had seen. We also asked her if she could look in our first room, because we had left somthing there, 3 days went past before my with knocked on the door and asked they people there if they had found it, and they said they had, and gave it to my wife, they also said nobody had asked them if there was anything there. On our departer, my wife left a pair of gold earrings in the apartment, and rang the apartment to ask if they had been handed it, and could we come and collect them as we were still on the island for another week. She said she would call back and let us know, that never happened. Never got they earing back. We will never go back there again, they way we were treated there, and we paid full money for that sea view, and feel cheated they way they didn't care about us.

This was my 3rd time staying at Rocas Blancas and it never disappoints! The apartments are simple and basic but everything is always so clean and the staff are very pleasant. For location and value for money alone, Rocas Blancas is perfect - right in the centre of the main ***** amongst all the bars and restaurants, taxi rank outside and the beach is right across the road. Would always recommend to a friend!

We returned home a few days ago from a fantastic 7 night stay here. The apartments were clean and well equipped. The living room and balcony were plenty spacious for the 2 of us. The bedroom was a little tight but it was manageable. The water pressure in the shower wasn't the best. Ceiling fan, especially in the bedroom worked well for us. Had to keep windows closed at night due to the nearby nightclubs but once windows were closed, we couldn't hear a thing. Lots of steps to climb to our apartment but thay allowed us to benefit for fantastic sea views. Great central location with a bus stop and taxi rank right outside. The apartments could really benefit from air conditioning, I can imagine during the height of summer, the ceiling fans would not have been very useful. All in all, we had a great stay and would definitely return.

We stayed at rocas blancas from 7th to 21st September in a superior apartment with sea view . The location is perfect right in the center opposite the lovely beach . Our room was perfectly adequate for 2 adults with everything we needed for a self catering holiday although we ate out most of the holiday . The cleaning /maid service contrary to other reviews was excellent ,basically every other day . Yes the ceiling fans didn't keep us cool enough when it was really hot so we just hired a floor standing fan from a shop ext door for €24 for 12 nights no big dea l . Reception were really helpful . The pool was sometimes crowded at parts of the day but there's a beach 40 ft away . Overall I cannot fault it so much so we have booked again for next year

Ideal for people on a budget, who don’t mind nightclub noise and want to be very central. Would I stay here again? Yes but not in the height of the season, the local nightclubs and bars that are a stone throw away at Atlantico will keep you awake till 5am. You can’t really close bedroom windows because of the heat and lack of air conditioning. There is a ceiling fan in each of the rooms and it is a little effective if you can get them to work. Our bedding was only changed once in a 2 week stay, not great to say we were in the middle of the heat wave. Never really struggled for a sunbed because we shared as a family of 4 but they do need to get control of this, people were reserving sun beds and then disappearing for hours on end. The pool isn’t ideal for families, it’s a little small and you are not allowed toys etc to play with. It was cleaned every morning though and the pool area was cleaned twice a day. It was really clean contrary to other reviews. Staff were really friendly and we got our deposit back from the reception for the security box. The pics that are on their website are outdated and in parts the property is looking a little tired. We stayed in a 2 bed apartment and it was huge. House keeping did a fantastic job, we had clean towels every other day. The local parakeets are ridiculously cute and will land in your hand, so get some peanuts. Over the road from one of the prettiest beaches I have ever seen. We’ve booked Puerto Del Carmen for next year but in a different property.

Had a two week stay at Rocas Blancas with my wife and 12 year old son. These apartments are what they say they are. No frills, no fuss, and a great central base. As soon as we arrived, we were booked in quickly and shown to our apartment. We had booked a standard one bed unit with sea view. The room itself was basic, but it was enough for what we needed. There were two single beds in the bedroom and a pullout sofa bed in the lounge. There were two large built-in wardrobes in the bedroom, one of which had the safe inside. This was charged at 12€ a week with 10€ deposit, which was returned when leaving. The kitchenette was sufficiently well equipped with undercounter fridge, microwave, electric hob with 4 rings, kettle, toaster, and coffer machine. There was more than enough cutlery and crockery. Storage was a bit sp****, but again, we didn't mind that. There were ceiling fans positioned in the bedroom and the living room. The room was cleaned every other day, with toilet rolls topped up and towels changed if needed. The bedding was changed at the end of the first week. The only negative point, which is nothing that the apartments had control over, was the location of the recycling bins for all the bars in the area. These were directly at the rear of our unit and right outside our bedroom. This could be very noisy when the bars dumped all of their bottles at the end of the night and then again when the refuse collectors came. We didn't let this spoil our stay, and the windows, when closed, kept out the noise. We knew exactly what to expect, having researched the accommodation before booking. There are a lot of steps on the complex, so if your mobility isn't great, I wouldn't book these apartments. We loved them. The location is fantastic and right in the centre of everything. They are also directly across the road from the beach. We would definitely book again, but we would ask for a different room, but only because of the noise from the recycling.
