Hotel Atlantic El Tope

Lovely hotel! I specifically enjoyed the rooftop bar. The view is very nice, both during the day and night. The music is lovely and the service is very good! Sometimes there is live music. The room is very spacious if you travel alone and the bed is soft and nice to sleep in! The shower’s water pressure is good and the temperature is adjustable to your preference. I’ve been helped many times by reception staff and every time I left satisfied. The staff speak English, Spanish and German. The food at the buffet varies every day and is good! They serve sushi, meat, fish, vegetables and many more different things. There’s also enough vegetation options. I booked all inclusive and even though not all cocktails are included in this package, there is enough that is included and if you wanted something else it would range from €6 - €8. I would definitely recommend and book again!

I visited this hotel on a last minute deal but was a bit wary of some of the reviews. However, from the arrival I got great vibes. The receptionist welcomed me with a smile and I loved my room with an amazing Teide view, which was worth the extra as I like to enjoy a relaxing drink on the balcony. There is a kettle in the room but no coffee. To me, the location is perfect. The hotel is situated on a short steep hill or up a few stairs. If you go down, you are near the Martianez shopping centre with Mercadona supermarket for your odds and ends and the seafront. If you go up, you are near Agatha Christie’s stairs, La Paz area and the Botanical garden or in the opposite direction, the Sitio Litre Orchid Garden and Taoro/Sortija park. There is also a bus stop nearby where you can catch a bus to Orotava, La Laguna, Santa Cruz or Icod de los Vinos, etc. I was on half board and enjoyed the food. There is no show cooking but everything that you would usually find in a buffet show cooking, was available. The hot food was constantly replaced. There were many traditional Canarian and Spanish dishes as well as international ones. Once a week, there was cava at the breakfast buffet. What I really appreciated about this hotel was that you can use the swimming pool ‘at your own risk’ until 8pm. The hotel pools in Spain tend to close strictly at 6pm and when I return to the hotel after a day of exploring in the sun, I want to have a refreshing swim later in the day. I have stayed in Puerto de la Cruz four times and the Atlantic El Tope is my hotel of choice.

Just want to know what the tiny bugs are in our room? They are in the bathroom basin & worse at night when the light is on. Has anyone else in the hotel got them in there room? Not reported to reception yet just want to know if all the hotel has them??

Visited this hotel on last minute deal. So into the unknown. Well it turned out a great pick. The hotel was spacious and very clean . The staff were amazing and so friendly and accommodating if you had a question to ask. The room was clean and had great views of the sea even when it was called a limited sea view. We were half way up a hill so going up or down there are plenty of steps , but they are manageable even for me being an OAP and lead to some great places . Overall had a fantastic time , recommend the roof top bar . Would I recommend the hotel. Yes I would .

Just home from a week at this beautiful hotel. We were half board and the food was lovely, with lots to choose from. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooftop bar with hot tubs is very relaxing with the most amazing views and delicious cocktails.

Absolutely fabulous holiday! We chose All Inclusive package for 7 nights and never regret! 1. El Tope team are superstars. Everyone is so much friendly, smiling, remembering favourite drinks. A special appreciation to a lady in the pool bar, who also recommended us a lovely local beach. Moreover, it was my partner's birthday and it was so nice to see a bottle of champagne and greeting card in the room, such a thoughtful thing! 2. Location is great, we were on 05th floor and had a stunning view to the ocean and Puerto de la Cruz. Walking distance to the bus stop (within 7 minutes), from where we traveled to the south (Costa Adeje) for a day. Buses in Puerto de la Cruz are also very good, following the timetable and just 10€ per all-day travel card. Beach is in 5 minutes, town centre in 10 minutes. Famous Agatha Christie stairs in 2-3 minutes walk from the hotel. Due the location on the hill and steps, I would recommend to consider using a local taxi for those, who have mobility issues. But honestly, the hotel has everything! 3. Entertainment. We enjoyed live music (saxophone) in our first evening. Roof terrace is fantastic, offering jacuzzi, sofas, roof bar. Downstairs near reception there is a programme of all upcoming events. 4. Food is great, amazing choice of fish, chicken dishes, beef/pork/lamb for dinner & lunch. A lot of vegetable dishes are available also. It was nice to taste local baked potatoes and rice with banana. Desserts are great, fruits are always fresh. Nice to have a glass of wine or beer during the lunch or dinner. Breakfast is classic and tasty: boiled eggs, fried eggs, few types of sausages, beacon, pancakes, fresh vegetables, flakes etc. Pool bar has a nice choice of snacks such as fries, fruits, sandwiches. 5. Environment. We are in love with Puerto de la Cruz, and at El Tope hotel we made some friends. There is a great relaxing atmosphere for people, who appreciate classic and traditional holiday in the best vibes of beautiful Tenerife island. We will definitely back again! Muchas gracias 🥰🥰😍
