Palazzo Verone

Staying at Palazzo Verone was a beautiful experience. The owner Michele is a wonderful host and will go to any length to ensure that your stay is as comfortable as possible. From booking, Michele got in touch with me to advise me of how to get to the accommodation and that he would help us with our bags (we only brought backpacks so did not need help but the thought was much appreciated!). We were greeted at the door by Michele who radiates such happy energy! He showed us around and explained how things worked, he straight away helped us to get parking for our car for the week which was arranged immediately! Michele put on a beautiful breakfast spread every morning and asked what drinks we like and how we like them, he couldn’t do enough for us! Not to mention, Michele sharing his way of life with us and giving us the best recommendations and advice. Michele made us feel extremely comfortable throughout the duration of our stay and he expressed to us how we could message him at any time when we needed help with something. Finally, the views of this accommodation are spectacular and I don’t believe you would get that anywhere else! (There is 180 steps to climb to Palazzo Verone but it was worth it every time, especially with the views as you climb). On our last day, we had to leave early and so Michele baked some crossiants and packed them up for us on our travel back to the airport! We appreciated that very much! Once again, thank you very much for an amazing time and experience Michele!

We booked Michele his b&b on airbnb. We were looking forward to it, but sadly we had a very bad experience and I wouldn’t recommend staying with Michele at all. There were a few things at play; Michele always wanted to have all the attention and he didn’t like it, that he didn’t get that from us 4 girls (who just wanted to have a nice quiet time), he wanted us to leave the door wide open so he could ‘clean’ but we were not comfortable with that (he didn’t care and entered our room regardless, it was not cleaned afterwards but just the bed was made), we got 4 really small towels and when we asked for new towels after 3 days he told us ‘no, this is not a hotel’, he also pointed at my friends face and made a really mean remark of her birthmark, when we left he ignored us completely, but run after us to claim ‘tourist tax’ we had to pay another 18 euros which he never talked about before. When I asked him after paying him to help us down the 180 stairs with our suitcases just as he he helped us at arrival he said ‘no, I have other guests’ in an arrogant way. Eventually he did help but only because I told him he is not being very nice . I don’t like giving negative feedback and we just wanted to enjoy our vacation, but this was just a really big disappointment and we felt very uncomfortable at his home. His ego was definitely in the way here because he didn’t get attention of four young girls and I would not recommend at all.

My husband and I had the opportunity to stay at Palazzo Verone for three nights, and we are so happy we chose to stay here. Michele is truly the best host we have ever had. He cares so much about his guests and makes sure they have a perfect stay. He provided very helpful recommendations for great hikes, restaurants and the best transportation options. We loved the location as it provided stunning views of Amalfi but away from the crowds. After all the delicious food we were eating on our trip, we gladly welcomed the steps up to the inn. The breakfasts on the balcony with homemade pastries is unforgettable. The room was large, clean and comfortable. But most of all, Michele’s hospitality is what makes this place so special. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We hope to be back again soon!

Ce B&B est un endroit charmant avec une vue splendide, au calme et loin du flot touristique. Michele est de bons conseils pour visiter et est aux petits soins. La chambre est confortable et le petit déjeuner copieux. Merci encore à lui pour son accueil chaleureux.

El Palazzo Verone fue una opción ideal para nuestro viaje por la Costa Amalfitana. Es un oasis de tranquilidad al que volver despues de una día de playas y turismo a veces un poco masificado en la costa. El B&B se encuentra en un pueblo muy tranquilo y bien cuidado que aún conserva su autenticidad. En Pontone hay vistas al valle entre Atrani y Amalfi. El desayuno es sencillamente espectacular, una experiencia inolvidable que marca la diferencia. Michele es un anfitrión ejemplar y muy atento que termina de hacer de este sitio un lugar muy especial. En el camino para llegar hay muchos escalones, eso debe de tenerse en cuenta en caso de que pueda suponer algún problema de movilidad, sin embargo, para nosotros era un camino que formaba parte del encanto del pueblo (son escalones de piedra con vistas al valle). El último punto es que es muy recomendable alquilar algún transporte, en nuestro caso fue la moto ya que la línea de bus no es tan frecuente en Pontone.

Bellissima esperienza in un posto fantastico. Il proprietario Michele molto gentile ed ospitale ci ha fornito consigli preziosi per la nostra vacanza. Ottima colazione con una vista mozzafiato sul golfo di Amalfi. Unico neo: 200 scalini per raggiungerlo.

Un nostro posto dell’anima, dove la bellezza della Costiera fa lo sfondo alla splendida dimora di Palazzo Verone e alla simpatia e attenzione che Michele (proprietario) riserva ai suoi ospiti. Quando torneremo in Costiera Amalfitana noi saremo a Palazzo Verone, ballando un Walzer con le musiche di Michele.
