"We recently stayed at the Maris Grand Hotel in Protaras as a family of three and had a truly wonderful holiday. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how exceptionally clean and well-maintained the hotel was. Every area, from the rooms to the communal spaces, was spotless throughout our stay. The staff were one of the standout highlights. Every member of the team was incredibly friendly, kind, and helpful, always going above and beyond to make sure guests were looked after. Their genuine warmth made a real difference to our experience. In particular, Georgia, the Front Office Manageress who is so kind, helpful & always smiling and Ebru who worked at the splash park poolside bar – Must try her iced coffee…amazing!! Maria, Bill and their team were exceptional in the restaurant, always friendly, and polite whilst providing full professionalism at all times. The cleaning staff are simply amazing too! The food was excellent, with plenty of variety and consistently high quality throughout our stay. The Italian restaurant was a particularly lovely bonus and provided a fantastic alternative for a special evening meal. Our daughter absolutely loved the pool area and water slides, which provided hours of fun and entertainment. The facilities were great for families and helped make the holiday memorable for all of us. We visited during peak season in August, so naturally the hotel was very busy, particularly around the pool and main bar areas. Despite this, the atmosphere remained friendly and enjoyable. The only small suggestion we would make is that some background music in the evening bar area would help create a little more ambience after dinner. It was considerably cheaper than many hotels of a similar rating in the area, yet delivered far more than expected. Don't book expecting 5-star luxury, because that's not what it promises, but if you're looking for a great base, good facilities, and an unbeatable price-to-quality ratio, this hotel is absolutely brilliant. Overall, we had an amazing stay and would highly recommend the Maris Grand Hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing, family-friendly holiday in Protaras. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we've already booked to return in October, which says everything about how highly we rate this hotel. Thank you to the entire team for making our holiday so special. We can't wait to come back!"

"We are so glad we found this villa! We stayed in the two bedroom villa which was more than adequate for our family of four (two adults and two teenage boys) The villa itself is modern and spotlessly clean. We found the beds comfortable and the bathrooms lovely. The kitchen isn’t set up for cooking big meals if that is what you are looking for but is adequate for breakfast and lunch. The outdoor space is superb! A great size pool and plenty of sun beds. Also a large outdoor comfy sofa area. The location is perfect. A short walk through the hotel grounds and you are on the promenade which is just a short walk to Fig Tree Beach and a great selection of restaurants, bars and shops. The hotel staff were so friendly from the minute we arrived. The cleaners came in everyday, they supplied us with clean towels and pool towels. An added surprise was the delivery of platters of food each day, pastries, cakes, fruit! It was my son’s birthday whilst we were there and after a day out we came back to a towel cake and a real cake for us to eat. It was a lovely touch. We couldn’t recommend this villa enough and will definitely be back."

Tem a sua própria pequena piscina, com outras covas situadas apenas 200 metros à esquerda e à direita. Há um parque de carros grande, que é conveniente se você alugar um carro, como nós. Um supermercado e várias tavernas estão dentro de um raio 200-meter. O hotel também TEM um BOM restaurante à la carte.Em geral, não encontramos UMA melhor opção 3-4 estrela em termos de valor para o dinheiro. Tenha EM mente que é um hotel familiar com muitos filhos, embora você sempre possa encontrar um lugar tranquilo se quiser."

Sunrise Jade - Adults Only
"We stayed at the Sunrise Jade for seven nights from 23rd September, half board and upgraded to a Deluxe Sea View room. We landed in Cyprus late in the evening and got to the hotel at around 22:30 hrs. We had a warm welcome from the lady at reception who went through basic hotel information, our luggage was then loaded on a trolley by the concierge and we were shown to our room. Our room was 110. The room itself was clean, spacious and modern. There was plenty of space to put our clothes away. There is a mini fridge in the cabinet, in which this is stocked with water, a couple of beers, cans of pop, oj cartons and two small bottles of wine. These are a one-off complimentary gesture - the water is replaced each day. This was a nice touch. One sandwich was also left in the fridge as we had landed late and missed our evening meal - ham and cheese, as vegetarians this was no good for us. There is an espresso machine in the room, the Nespresso tap pods replenished daily. I was a little concerned that the first-floor room would be a Sea View but couldn’t see due to the time of night and it being pitch black outside. We had a comfortable first night’s sleep, the bed was spacious and very comfortable. Pillows were great! When we woke the following morning we were very disappointed with the view. This room is absolutely not a Sea View and not worth the £250 upgrade. Photos are with the review, whilst I acknowledge the Sea can be seen, what you mostly see is the rooftop /walls to the restaurants. Not wanting to make a fuss about this and not wanting to pack/unpack or ruin our first day we got on with it. We were offered an upgrade to a swim-up room by the reception manager who admitted that we weren’t allocated the room we requested, we turned this down as simply did not want the hassle of moving and had made plans for that day. When I challenged about our room not being a Sea View we were told that it is in the contract as a Sea View room, just not a very good one! First morning, we asked at reception for an iron. I found the member of staff to be a little ‘off’, and we were told that we couldn’t keep the iron for the week and had to put it outside the room once we had finished using it that morning. I was disappointed that a property like this would not be equipped with an iron and ironing board in each room, or to be issued one for the duration of our stay. One was delivered quickly, but this was very poor quality and not very effective. Fortunately, we had packed our hand steamer, so made use of this for the remainder of our stay and didn’t bother with the iron again. On your first day, you are allocated a sunbed - this is a great concept as it alleviates the sunbed wars that you often encounter on holiday. The young lad in charge of this and the towels was really helpful and showed what beds are available. There weren’t many, but he discussed which got the most of the sunshine and so went with his recommendation. We had loungers at 505. W"

"We had the best vacation of my life. From the first moment when we arrived at the hotel, we were treated to the finest hospitality and top service. Anyone who chooses to vacation at The Blue Ivy will make the best decision. Our first thanks go to the restaurant staff. Each of your smiles brightened our days; other world-class hotels have a lot to learn from you (Marinos, Biraj, Amir, Krishna, Bikash, Anish, Rupak, Subhraj… ) - you were AMAZING and we miss you ❤️. The same goes for the girls at the pool bar (Zoya & Karolina). The kitchen… In one word - INCREDIBLE. Food was delicious, every day = new tastes. Many thanks to Bhim and his college (sorry I forgot name) and of course to other colleges in kitchen We’ve found a new vacation home. We want to come back here regularly, because staying at The Blue Ivy is an honor, and our satisfaction is beyond words. We’d like to thank the general manager Nicos, who worked hard to arrange an extension of our stay; unfortunately, work commitments ultimately prevented us from staying longer. See you soon! For the hotel staff and management, the word “no” doesn’t exist — nothing is impossible. That’s the best thing for any vacationer. The only thing we would have liked is for the pool to stay open a little longer. There’s a great atmosphere there, and when we saw it after dark, it might be great to organize a night swim (9–10 p.m.) at least once a week— this pool has a special charm when the lights are on in and around it.✨"

"Recently returned from another fantastic week in Cyprus with the family. We had booked this hotel on the basis that it is at the top of the strip and on level ground due to parents being unable to walk up hills etc. We were a group of 11 across 5 rooms varying ages from 2year old to 70 year old... Good points... * comfy beds - everyone commented on how comfy they were. * right at the start of the strip and close to all amenities so easy for anyone with walking/ mobility difficulties * Modern and stylish hotel * Pool area looks clean, comfy sun loungers and a nice pool with swim up bar ( although we didnt use it as water was too cold in october) * staff gave service with a smile and was polite and friendly * the deck bar at the front of the hotel is nice and clean and serves a selection of cocktails and beers. Bad points... There were only 2 real bad points and I think this is where the deal breaker is for us when deciding if we would return. * room cleanliness - the maids did attend daily they swept, mopped and made made our beds each morning but the following could have been highlighted for us due to having a toddler crawling around... we found the room to be very dusty - you can see the dust floating in the daylight and when we put our phone down to charge there was a layer of dust on it when we picked them up again. The room also smelled musty after the maids had been in. we had a suspicion that it was a dirty mop so we took notice when we went down for breakfast the maids were halfway up the corridor, we clocked the mop buckets with clean water in. We then clocked the mop buckets when we came back from breakfast and just after they had cleaned our room, the water was black so we think that they don't change the water regularly enough causing the musty smell, we stopped baby from crawling around as much as we could, his feet and knees were filthy after crawling around the floor. Others in our group didn't really notice anything wrong with the cleanliness (but their rooms were cleaned earlier than ours) but we all noticed that the towels we had left on the bathroom floor (to be changed) were folded and hung up again. After a few days I commented at breakfast that there was a really strong smell of wee in the bathroom. I joked about thinking the Mrs had a water infection or something. everyone else said they could smell it too so not sure if there was a problem with plumbing. My brother in law said that when he flushed the toilet there was a yellow tinge to the water, when I checked ours I found the same. I flushed 3 or 4 times but there was still a yellowish colour to the water and a smell of urine (not good when you're hungover). My parents bought a bottle of bleach and just kept putting a dash in the toilet now n again. * The food - breakfast was ok, there was a selection of fruits, yogurts, honey, chocolate spread. Usual bacon, sausages, eggs beans etc, there is something you could have each morning but isn't great quality, an"

"The hotel is wonderful. 5-star service. Excellent breakfasts and dinners. We stayed at the end of the season, so it wasn't fully booked, which is probably why we loved it so much. The location is perfect: right on the seafront (you don't have to buy a sun lounger or umbrella on the beach; you can use the hotel's own and walk 15-20 meters for swimming). The restaurant service is impeccable, with very attentive waiters (they were late ordering a drink one evening, but they offered a nice compliment as an apology). A decent lobby bar with affordable cocktails (4-6 euros)."

"Not long returned from a father & son trip for 2 weeks. Honest review. * Lower pool does get busy early & you struggle for loungers after 9am. There is always loungers at the waterpark & it’s more quieter up there too, there isn’t anywhere to swim in the waterpark though. The slides are fab, we had a blast. * The room was nice & very big. The fridge came in handy too. We had a kitchenette but never used it. * The afternoon food was great in the restaurant, the fresh made pizzas were amazing. The evening food seemed to lack variety, it was pretty similar every night. Plenty of grilled meat though. The salad was no where near on par with other 4* hotels I’ve stayed before. The Pan Asian & BBQ Night was great. Desserts weren’t great either, it was mostly stuff packed with cream, barely anything with chocolate. I’d recommend eating out twice a week, it’s not too expensive in Protaras. * Bar staff were great, a nice variety of cocktails are included & the iced coffee was great too. * The bus stop outside is only 10 mins from Protaras strip, the beach in Protatas is very busy all the way across. The steps directly into the sea outside the TUI Blue hotel are great & it’s the bluest water on the whole beach. Whenever we went to visit the beach, we went there every time. We spent time at a small lagoon (shingle) beach called Palm Tree grotto. All this can be found easily using Google maps. * The beach across the road from the hotel was accessible by walking through the staff apartments that’s next to the abandoned hotel. Both Nisia & Green Bay Beach were small but lovely all the same with nice sand. * The evening entertainment as a whole was lacking & that’s mainly because the kid’s disco (which plays the same songs every night) & the nightly Bingo both take up a decent chunk of the evening. The real entertainment doesn’t start until 10pm which is disappointing because the bar closes at 11pm so make sure you get a few drinks in before then. The entertainment booked was great though when it eventually started. * All staff speak great English. * There are lots of cats around the hotel & most are friendly. There are 2 shiops just outside the hotel & they sell cat food. * The only English Channel was Comedy Central (which was great for us) but obvs not everyone would agree. We enjoyed nightly South Park, Malcom in the middle & American Dad. * The hotel has a luggage room & a shower room downstairs (-1) in the lift, they have lockers too for your passports if needed so you can make the most of the your last day. _________________________________ The only negative thing I feel I must point out was one of the restaurant managers. (small guy with glasses) Openly shouting & berating the staff who were clearing/prepping tables, they work 3 shifts per day & they work damn hard & hearing the way this man spoke to them was appalling & extremely unprofessional. The other restaurant manager was lovely (big guy with glasses) Overall,"
