Ok place to stay.

Great location and fun atmosphere. From check in to check out the staff were more than accommodating. Close to shopping and the historic downtown with shops nearby. A 15 minute walk from the train station, but that wasn’t a problem. I would stay again.

What an enjoyable stay, really comfortable rooms, tasty food and right near all of the sites. My room was cosy and clean, great decor, the restaurant food was delicious and it is literally 2 mins walk from the historic dockyard. I'd recommend and would stay here again if I was visiting Portsmouth.

We planned months in advance and we where very satisfied with the hotel, restaurant and our main reason the Naval Dockyards and museum, etc.

This was our second time visiting this Premier Inn and it has been excellent. Nice clean spacious family room & on this visit we were touched that the lovely staff had left our children some haribo sweets and a note in a little organza bag saying “it’s the school holiday, enjoy your stay in Portsmouth” a very thoughtful gesture. The location of the hotel is second to none. A 2 minute walk from Portsmouth Historic Dockyard & a 5 minute walk from GunWharf Quay. We had breakfast at Bar & Block here & it was brilliant. Great food & choice of items. Staff are courteous & helpful in both the hotel & resturant. We would definitely stay here again.

Had a very pleasant stay here with my family while visiting the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. The hotel location is absolutely perfect and literally right opposite the main entrance to the dockyard. The hotel room was very clean and modern, and the food was very good for the price we payed. Particularly the breakfast.

My whole experience whilst staying at this Premier Inn in Portsmouth was very good in all aspects. 100% recommended this hotel if your planning a trip to the area.

Stayed here for one night, parking is just across the road, well lit and secure £10 for 24hrs. Check-in at 4.30pm was disappointing and took far too long. Neither check-in machine would accept surname or booking number (not a business booking as this is a known problem they said) so had to queue along with several others. There only one staff check-in computer which is not enough if the machines fail on most occasions and other customers have booking issues that need staff assistance and one of the computers. Finally got served to be told room was not ready - you've had full payment for a room for 54 days and it was after the 3pm check-in time so this was really annoying. Room was nice, bed comfortable and the shower was great. Good nights sleep on the 3rd floor. Ideally placed for the Historic Dockyard and Gunwharf Quays, both in easy, accessible walking distance.

Overall a pleasant stay (1 night, early May) Nice room and bathroom, just the grey carpet on the floor in the bedroom was not to my liking at all (was probably clean, but looked strange...). Quiet. Good bed/mattress. Checking in was a bit of an ordeal (Friday, 5 pm): Both automatic self-check-in counters were "out of control". Had to wait in line for maybe 20 minutes. Finally got electronic key to my room, only to find out, that it didn't work. Back down into the lobby. Waiting again. Finally got key that worked. - Very friendly receptionist, though, felt pity for him, that he had to deal with these technology-problems.
