I loved staying at the Heathman Hotel! My room was gorgeous and quiet. Bed was cozy. The customer experience was fantastic. Chris was excellent at accommodating my requests and helped to make my business trip easier. I come to Portland twice a year on business and I haven’t found a hotel I like until now. I’ll definitely be staying at the Heathman again.

The bed was comfortable but a little hard to make on the days the housekeeper didn't come. The sink in the bathroom did not come out far enough from the wall, and I not only hit my head on the edge of the ledge but splashed water all over the floor. The room was tucked in in a narrower corridor but was left uncleaned twice in five days. Definitely go for a higher floor because it was noisy outside. Our room had little space to put our clothes, and bring your own pad and paper! The valet people were nice and efficient. Give them and the housekeeper and workers in the restaurant tips; they really appreciate and need it.

The Heathman is a perfect example of boutique luxury nestled right in the middle of downtown Portland. The rooms are well appointed comfortable and spacious for a historic building. Not to be missed is the Tavern restaurant on the first floor. At dinner time try the carrot tartar & seared scallops. Both are Exceptional !! And for breakfast, you must try one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had with caramelize onions, bacon, potatoes, and a perfectly cooked egg on a brioche bun or an absolutely luxurious yogurt parfait. And I know if you’re thinking yogurt; how can that be that wonderful… It is!

The hotel is in a very convenient area. The rooms were very nice and the beds were super comfortable. Staff was very nice and helpful. The only somewhat downside is parking is a couple blocks away. If you don’t mind parking and then walking a couple blocks then it’s no problem, but they have valet and I highly recommend using it so you don’t have to walk 5-10 minutes to get to your car.

Cool decor, great room amenities, love the Library, solid gym, very clean. Restaurant was really good. Overall, I think this hotel is a step up from others in the same price point. The staff is very friendly and service is fast and attentive too.

There were a few issues in Culinary area & over all bathroom design for better functionality but over all, the Hotel Staff were amazing! They greeted every time, attentive and professionals. The hotel was clean, comfortable & I will be back!

The Heathman is such a charming, historic hotel in downtown Portland near everything. When you walk into the lobby you will notice the beautiful library room that is several stories high. The rooms are impeccably clean and beautifully appointed with all of the necessities and comfort you will need. The staff is friendly and helpful from the moment you check in to your departure.

This is a great hotel for a couples weekend or an opportunity to stay downtown for a show or a night on the town. However, this is not a business-friendly hotel if you need to do business in the room. There is no desk to work on a laptop or port to plug in a phone; you need the block. As I travel with a carry-on, I do not keep blocks with me and depend on ports to save room in my baggage. As noted in other comments, the bathrooms are small, and you cannot fit two people. Check-in was excellent. The front desk clerk at check-in was attentive and polite. I used valet, and the service was prompt.
