The Hamptons Apartments - Port Melbourne

Our family of three stayed in a two-bedroom apar**ent and found it comfortable for our two-night stay. Close enough to walk to the beach and piers.

Nice apar**ent good for a family. Walking distance to tram stop, shops, supermarket, pubs etc. Parking can be tricky but we found a spot in the street with no restrictions so left the car there all week no problems. Great area for walking and a beach just at the end of the street. Close to the city, only ten minutes by tram. Apar**ent needs some TLC and the oven didn’t work but overall we had a good stay.

Property did not inform us of car park renovations until we requested car park induction!!! We felt they did not want us to park car at property since they only informed us of maintenance/renovations when we brought the issue up!!! There were no workers about for the car park renovations plus there were also cars parked inside during our stay. Other properties would advise pool/car park etc under maintenance. Getting the key to room was a major hurdle !! The key locker didn’t work properly and we were given 3 codes before can actually open locker …they said there will 2 key passes and yet there was only 1 key pass given which caused a lot of inconvenience !

The checkin process was not great. The person did not arrive at the agreed time so we were waiting on the street - no apology when she did arrive and she wasn't overly friendly or informative. Sending an email 2 hours before arrival with information about the apar**ent for people who are coming off an international flight is not ideal especially if they don't have access to data on their phones. The duvet on the bed had a big yellow stain on it and dried blood - not acceptable. They changed the duvet the next day for us but put on a duvet that was to small for the bed so we didn't end up using the main bedroom. The shower had not been cleaned very well - they cleaned it again for us the next morning. The upstairs roof area had not been cleaned so outdoor tables had beer stains on them and the rubbish bin was overflowing (we were there at 1pm in the afternoon) The room had no windows to look out of as they were all painted so it felt very closed in. Overall we were disappointed with the apar**ent. The location however was excellent.

They have falsely advertised the apar**ent with what the features of a deluxe apar**ent which is the same as a standard apar**ent but they can charge more for a deluxe. They also charged for house keeping which is in addition to lease and housekeeping doesn’t happen. When you ask to speak to someone to fix your issues that have been paid for no one calls you back.

Great quiet location, close to cafes and restaurants on Bay St, nicely styled apar**ent great for a small family stay.

Really good location close to beach, shops, & restaurants. Apar**ent had everything we needed but could of done with more washing powder, dishwasher tablets, etc.

Very expensive property that was dirty with stained couches, unclean windows and chipped furniture. The car parking process was too difficult. The view was beautiful, showers great and the amenities good. The mosquitoes were also a problem.

Confusion around checkout time. Wotif stated 11am and was told by property management that it was 10am checkout.
