A great hotel. Great location on the Marine Drive. The only problem was the service in the Veranda restuarant which was very bad Otherwise a n enjoyable stay.

great hotel, nice family hotel, low key, ie not high rise, quite luxurious, love the attention paid to retaining the original art deco features - carpets in the lounge require cleaining/replacing - wonderful show put on for iron man athletes - lot of much appreciated thought there!

This was our first visit to The Beach hotel which is situated on the bay. Inside there are historic details which give the building an art deco feel. Our room was spacious and well appointed with views out to sea. We had decided to eat in The Ginger restaurant and as it was Valentine’s Day a special menu was offered. This had to be prepaid which posed a problem as we live in the UK. However the staff were all extremely helpful and were able to overcome the problem. We’re glad we opted for this menu as from the initial champagne to the final dessert the meal was delicious: one of the best we have had on our South African trip. The Crest restaurant where we had breakfast was also good. Hopefully this will not be our last visit.

I stay here several times a year and the staff are amazing and accommodating. The facilities have deteriorated. Soft surfaces such s chairs, carpets, etc need a serious facelift. Towels were worn and rooms are becoming very dated. The location is great but the owners/managers will need to step it up to keep this place relevant and a place for returning guests. I'll give it until the end of 2024 to see improvement in the facilities and then may look for another place to stay when in PE.

I travelled for business trip and it was a pleasant stay. The staff are accommodating and willing to help . They always provide excellent customer service for the duration of my trip. Location is ideal and view is beautiful from Hotel. Just be sure to book sea facing room for full benefit.

We stayed two nights in this well positioned hotel. The overall appearance is of a tired once better establishment but it was more than adequate. Ginger restaurant is excellent and great value for money which is good as I would not recommend walking too far from the hotel at night, which is a sad indic**ent of SA generally at the moment particularly of the Eastern cape. Staff in the hotel were friendly and professional and our room was very clean with views across the main road to the sea.
