Hotel Garni Chesa Mulin

Fabulous place ! Wonderful , caring staff, very low key and friendly. Really enjoyed the evening small menu in the lounge. Beautiful new renovation - great design and interiors ! Very convenient to center of town and Coop. The staff absolutely thought of every detail.

This was our third stay at Hotel Garni Chesa Mulin and where we would happily return a fourth time. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfasts are delicious. We love the included free pass to use on area trains, buses, and cable cars. We do wish they had an electric teakettle in the rooms but otherwise perfect.

A warm greeting and lovely room... We loved the entire location. Easy walk to eateries, and the bus stop for mountain hikes. The staff was as cordial as any friend. The breakfast was good. And now I'm trying to use enough characters to post this.

We really liked Hotel Garni Chesa Mulin Pontresina. The location is wonderful, the breakfast was great, the staff was really friendly. They explained us what are the tourist attractions in the area. We enjoyed the comfortable rooms. In conclusion, everything was excellent. We strongly recommend this hotel.

This hotel manages to combine cozy and modern in a really nice way, with warm hues and comfortable rooms. We had adjoining rooms for a family and found the breakfast and staff very pleasant. The rooms had pretty nice views of the mountains and weren't over other guest rooms, so worked out well for a family. They didn't have a lot of games and other amenities intended for kids and seemed to be catering more to adult hikers and other outdoor enthusiasts. One room did not have a bathtub or blinds. The rooms lock from the inside with keys, which can be a bit problematic with kids (at one point both doors were locked and the keys were misplaced). While we were there a bunch of construction was going on outside, but it didn't really hamper our visit. My impression is that there are more romantic and historic alternatives in Pontresina but this hotel certainly met our needs.

During my tour of Switzerland, I chose this hotel to stay while in Pontresina. It is about a 10 min walk (UP hill) from the train station....a bit of the hike but it's so worth it. I arrived and was greeted by a woman who was very friendly. She was actually the one who replied to my email. She showed me to my room and gave me a quick tour of the place. There is an elevator which is convenient. The room was perfect! The bathroom was amazingly clean (pics included). At night, the area is very quiet. The bed was comfortable and the room was cozy with wood furniture. The staff gave me a recommendation of where to eat, which was a restaurant around the corner (Hotel Bernina Restaurant) and the food was delicious. So good that I returned again the next night :-) The breakfast was great too, many options and things were very clean. The staff is around to get you anything you need. After a long day of hiking, I decided to use the sauna. I asked the staff and they had no problem with setting it up for me to use. I was lucky, the sauna was across the hall from my room so I didn't have to walk very far. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Pontresina. The area is extremely beautiful and the hotel is perfectly located. Trust me, this is a great hotel. From the staff, to the cleanliness, to the breakfast......it is perfect.
