Cours Chabrol

This hotel is located at the far end of promenade. We stayed at 1st floor sea facing room. Room size is very small with basic amenities. TV with only Tamil channels. Bathroom was clean but no dry and wet area. Balcony is big and offers partial sea view. The climate was good, it was drizzling continuously. All the hotels offer umbrellas for guests. Its walking distance from the market and white town. Staff is friendly and efficient. Breakfast was tasty. Do not miss GMT gelato just besides the hotel.

Strictly ok. Great location esp the view from the terrace! opt for this place only if you have a sea facing rooms. The rest of the rooms have walls in front of the windows. No frills, basics in compact rooms. Hygiene is maintained. Plumbing looks like it is ready to break anytime. Right place only if you’re in transit. They only provide breakfast.

I really enjoyed this property. I have traveled all over the world (not written ***y reviews, but I had to in this instance). This is a no-frills place, but the staff was very nice and the view was amazing. The breakfast (south Indian vegetarian) was also quite good. Though other aspects of Pondicherry are lacking the hotel made up for that. Also, the room had a good AC unit and a balcony. There is also a minifridge in the room.

Located bang on The Promenade, this is a small property in White Town. The sea facing rooms on the third floor offer great views of the ocean. Rooms are small but have a balcony, AC, TV, a locker and a minibar. The hotel WiFi is reasonably good and the rooms are clean and well maintained. they have a car park around 250m away. There is no restaurant but good south Indian breakfast is served in the room. There are plenty of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. The staff are courteous and well behaved. Prices are slightly on the higher side but the location and views co****sate for it. Do ask specifically for Room nos. 301 or 302

One place I will always remember in Pondicherry. This hotel is just 20 steps away from the beach. Rooms are small but well arranged & maintained. Clean- Bed, Bathroom Linen as well the Room. A balcony to enjoy your time facing the beach. I was overwhelmed to get such a place (Though I felt little expensive) but enjoyed it.

We stayed at Cours Chebrol in the month of Jan 2021. The USP of the place is the location and the outstanding sea view. It is a small hotel that is right there on the Promenade in the White Town area. The interiors mimic any budget hotel but they charge a premium for the view. The sea is right in front of you, literally, just 50 feet across the road. The rooms are very clean, fairly basic and small with no room service. They serve the breakfast on the terrace and the in room dining can be done through orders to swiggy/zomato. The hotel is sold out most of the time due to its location and the view from the balcony. I just wish they could replace those hard wooden chairs with comfortable ones. There's no car parking and you'll have to park half a kilometer away inside one of the premises that they've rented. A repeat visit? Definitely yes! If not for anything else, but for the prime location and view.
