Gold Playa del Ingles - Adults Only

Having enjoyed our stay in May 2023 we booked to visit early January 2024. I was pleased to see that the hotel was still as lovely as before and the staff were running the place to the same excellent level. Very happy to find our room request had been granted and having room 813 we had a nice view of the sea and the bathroom setup was better. It was also a lovely suprise to find a bottle of wine welcoming us back. Since we enjoyed the welcome drinks event on the Monday evening last time we made sure to attend on this trip also. The musician was great and it was nice to speak to the manager. After talking to some of the other guests it seems we were not the only returning customers. Most people, like us, had visited previously and are so impressed they keep coming back. Breakfast was busy every day but the food was always kept replenished and the impressive selection meant it didn't get boring or repetitive across the week we stayed. On check out day we took advantage of the complimentary room they offer for 30 minutes, allowing us to shower and freshen up before heading to the airport for our evening flight. This was very useful and we were grateful for this service. We enjoyed lunch one day by the pool and, as expected, this was very good, as we're the cocktails. The live music by the pool one day was great as well. With plenty of sun beds and loungers available we were also always able to get a spot in the sun. To conclude, the hotel was spotless and the staff went over and above to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We have already booked a return visit for the same time next year. I have stayed at this hotel since 2022. The new no slip mat around the pool is great. One life Guard in particular can be a bit over the top with regards towels. He asked me was I sitting at the pool when I asked for a towel. Our room was ok this time, glasses had lipstick on them still, not washed properly, the vent was full of dust in the bathroom, small shower head didnt work and the noise of furniture being moved about above during cleaning at 8am is ridiculous. I said it last time I was there too. You can hear everything above you. The food wasn't great this time either for breakfast. The pancake batter was disgusting the chef said it herself and the pouched eggs were added to the fryer to finish cooking them. The water wasn't hot enough, either were the fryers. We had the same chef all week. A really nice lady and made a lovely scramble egg tbf. The staff are always nice and friendly. I spoke with Christian about a late check out. He said, Around 3 but just check in the morning. Down I went the next mornjng and was told, only until 2 and its 30 euro. That's the first time that's ever happened here. Christian never mentioned a cost. So I asked can I put the bags in storage facility and at 3 can we use a room to shower. Absolutely, no problem said Silvia. I actually think the logic behind this is mad. The room was never cleaned until about 3 anyway so why dirty another room. Unfortunately this is my last stay at this hotel. I used to come here and feel so happy, lovely people, nice a**osphere and chilled and this time it still had nice people but the rest was below their standard. Our expectations for this hotel were quite high because of all the outstanding reviews that the hotel gets and we gathered as we were only staying for a long weekend if it was half as good then it’ll be ok. It exceed all our views, the rooms have been styled brilliantly and has everything you need in, the staff are friendly and polite and nothing is too much trouble. It’s great to have the app to deal with all those little things you may need like extra pillows, towels etc. The Miami vibes around the pool just help to unwind and relax and there was plenty of sun beds for all. Breakfast had so much choice including have eggs and omelettes and bacon cooked fresh the way you want it. We’ve been to the island a few times and don’t normally consider returning to the same hotels but based on location, service and amenities it’d be difficult not too.

Was here in June 2023 and have booked again for June 2024….5 days of pure relaxation in the lovely adults only hotel. A real plus was breakfast until 12, clean and modern surroundings, lovely cocktails and a very comfortable junior suite with wine on arrival and a much needed nespresso machine 😜 was here with my partner the first time round and now coming back with a girlfriend. Have recommended to many people and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else now when visiting this lovely island.

We stayed here for 7 nights recently and absolutely loved it. I've been to Maspalomas many times but for this trip we decided on the Gold By Marina - and it transofmed our holiday. Highlights:- - No kids! - Fantastic pool-side facilities, as many towels as you need, umbrellas, comfy loungers - Great restaurant by the pool - Beautiful and attentive staff, always friendly and helpful - Big room with lovely balcony and decent kitchen - Great location by the Yumbo and a big supermarket - Late checkout, and access to a room with a shower if your room is booked so that you can freshen up after a long day before a late flight Two things I would change - I wish I could turn a balcony light on at night so as to be able to read out there late (the lights all go off at midnight - but this might be local legislation?); and I'm not a fan of windows into a bathroom (but I know this is on trend so not really a gripe). From the second we arrived, we felt completely at home. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, the rooms comfortable, clean, lovely decor. The hotel and its surroundings are stylish with a Miami vibe. The buffet breakfast was a real treat every morning with loads of choice. The pool areas are amazing for relaxing on comfy soft loungers and having a swim. Hot tub area in the early evening was great for relaxing in the warm sunshine. Loads of little touches that really made our stay like a glass of fizz on arrival. The location is great too, 25mins in a taxi from the airport and 10 mins walk to the Yumbo centre with plenty of bars /restaurants, and to the beach. Highly recommend, would definitely go back.

Overall a great week here. Best aspects : clean spacious rooms,; well appointed roomy shower; comfortable beds; best sun beds I've used; nice pool area; excellent breakfast with plenty of choice and time and space to enjoy it; a calm pleasant hotel best for mature couples. Reception and domestic staff friendly and generally helpful - but see below. Worst: the pool bar/ breakfast staff barely cracked a smile with a couple of exceptions; daily charges for room safes; our airport transfer picked up at 19.00 but hotel could only offer a 16.00 late check out 'because we need to bring in the cleaner' and charged €50 for the privilege. That was their goodbye effectively and it left a sour taste after a good holiday. The best did though far outweigh the worst.

The hotel design is gorgeous the staff are fantastic and the master suite room was perfect The breakfast was relaxed with really good food and drinks, the two pools were great and there were enough sunbeds Overall it’s excellent value for money and I’ll definitely be back

First Time stayed . The staff were very friendly and helpful . Room was excellent very clean and was clean very day . Breakfast buffet was excellent and a choice of everything and eggs was cooked to order . Had a choice of two pools area was excellent and the poolside restaurant was agin good food Had massage which was excellent. It was a lovely hotel very clean and will go back again. good location. It was a good price lovely stay
