This AWESOME hotel is so much better than 4 stars! The love of my life and I were greeted by the most wonderful check in host! Her name is Lupita! She was so sweet and kind and made checkin the most pleasant ever! Words alone cannot even describe our room! EVERYTHING was PERFECT! We were looking for a beachfront property with also a nice pool and the rooftop pool and restaurant here also deserves 6 stars! If you are a couple you are wasting your time by staying anywhere else but here in Playa Del Carmen!

The hotel is in the perfect location. Right in fro t of the beach and right next to 5th avenue, but the hotel does not provide beach chairs and the first floor is under construction. I think it was a restaurant but it had the view to the ocean from the first floor but you could not use it. Wish I would have known. Other than that the hotel is beautiful, we got the deluxe luxury room and it was really big and nice.

The ladies at the front desk were great! The bar staff upstairs sucks! Not friendly at all! They could care less if you were there and they shut the lights off at 8pm. I had a couple issues with our room. The metal railing fell off on the balcony and the tv didn’t work. They have horrible plumbing but that’s expected in Mexico. They did fix the issues pretty fast but that bar staff needs to be replaced!

The Carmen is a great choice it's a block from 5th and on beach. The pool is nice 🙂 and has excellent views. The staff is professional and courteous. They have Continental breakfast that's a nice part of the day. The style is giving Miami vice or glam 80s and I am here for it!!

The property and its view is amazing! Also convenient roof top bar with breakfast which I didn't try but it looked amazing. Its right off 5th Ave where the party, sales, shops, and all the fun is. I wouldn't suggest any places on 5th due to the tourist prices but its an easy 5 minute walk to nice local restaurants. Rooms were nice but there wasn't really "warm" water to shower with. Otherwise the place was friendly and so close to the beach literally walk out the front door and your at the beach. Great overall experience.

Walter at the front desk help me so much with a lot of good information and made me feel like at home, very friendly, also Roberto works at night also super friendly and helpful always. I would definitely come back stay there again.
