Got back from the Elba hotel early Wednesday morning. What can I say! When we arrived on the 1st night you are left to find your room in the dark with a map. This took at least 45mins after a long day of travelling. Food hygiene is disgusting, be very careful of the chicken my partner cut his chicken open only for it to be raw throughout! This put us off eating the meat. Que most nights to get into the food hall, at least 30-40 people long. Once you get in it's complete carnage. Plates are dirty, cups are dirty. Will attach photos. The kids food is plain pasta with a sauce to add, squid fingers & broccoli and maybe rice. Very poor choice. As for evening entertainment well that is basically non-existing. One night there was a women screaming out songs. We watched the Scotland game in the euros & once it was finished they kept the terminator on Tv. What a treat !! The little disco was ok for the young kids but if your children are older than 7 l would say there is no entertainment apart from the arcade which was costing us 30 odd euros a night as that's all they could do. The ques for the drinks at night was ridiculous. You could only get 2 drinks & if like me you were with another family they would get really rude if you want one extra drink! We checked out of our room at 12 but we're not getting picked up till 7 from the hotel. They cut our bands off and that was that. Also found out people leaving before us were allowed to keep there bands on till pick up! It seems one rule for one,& another for others. I went up to get a coffee & they wanted to charge me. Absolutely shocking hotel. Bad atmosphere, staff overworked so majority are unfriendly. Many families also complaining about similar issues. it's definitely not 4 star more like 2. I complained to the reps twice & also the manager of the hotel. They are not interested at all. The only positive about this hotel is it looks nice.

We visited in June as a family of 4. Everything was lovely and clean. The pictures had made it appear the rooms were a little bigger than they actually were, but it was everything we needed for the week. Everything is close to everything else, the park, kids club, dinning area, bar and pools are within a 5 min walk of the rooms, which is perfect when it’s warm. The food was your usual all inclusive buffet food. All well cooked and lovely, but a bit samey by the end of the week. It was nice being able to grab a burger or hotdog by the pool if we didn’t fancy going for lunch in the main diner. There is a need for more bar staff both daytime and evening. There were evenings when the family entertainment was on that there were only 2 bar staff to cater for the whole resort. Staff were all very friendly, and the kids entertainment team were fantastic. Dancing with Pepe was my daughters fave thing about her day. Would have been nice if maybe there was another song or 2 along with it so it was my over so quickly. But was still fab. A bottle of wine and card was left in our room on my husbands birthday which was a lovely gesture. Over all we had a lovely time, and it was a lovely resort. If the price was right, we would return, but likely try somewhere different next time

After reading some of the reviews in here I was contemplating changing hotels however I am so glad I didn’t we arrived on Thursday 20th June for a week, 2 adults two children aged 2 and 4 The hotel is absolutely spotless, the rooms are amazing so much space and you have your own outside area with sun beds, the rooms are cleaned daily Always sun bed available you could go down after 10 and stil be plenty there, food was amazing always a choice of something to have, soft play and kids pool where amazing I’m so glad we came here and honestly will 100% return in the future

This is the first time I have ever written a review for a hotel but felt it was needed. We came to the ELBA for the first time in June for a week with our 18 month old daughter. We were very impressed with the hotel despite reading all the negative reviews beforehand. I am aware that management were new to the hotel and you could already tell the positive impact they have made. Rooms were clean, spacious. Pools were lovely and always found a sun bed. Entertainment was great, our little one loved Pepe!! All staff were polite and helpful. We were mostly impressed with how well the hotel managed our daughters serve allergies. It helped that I took her hospital letter with us, clearly indicating what her allergies were and how to avoid as the allergy itself is so rare and would require hospital if she was to have a reaction. Andy the head chef, was incredible with supply and supporting with food, he would happily walk round with us everyday telling us what she could eat and would always cook anything fresh for her that we ordered. This really made our holiday as we were extremely anxious about food for our little one and avoiding any reaction as this could have been fatal for her. So I want to say a massive thank you to the chefs particularly Andy for being so accommodating and helpful during our stay. This defiantly made our holiday. Overall a great holiday and would happily return.

What a fabulous week we had at this hotel. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The Spa, including the treatments and staff was amazing. Breakfast was very good - so much choice. We enjoyed lunches at the adults only pool bar - again, the staff were outstanding. We personally struggled with the evening buffet as we can be fussy eaters but the Al a carte was outstanding - we highly recommend the T Bone steak! On check out day, which was at noon - the staff were very helpful as our transfer to the airport was 15:39. We were offered the hospitality room to shower and get changed. We surrendered our room but continued to enjoy the pool and bar until we were ready to leave. Thank you to everyone!

Worst hotel I have ever been to. Bed was never made for 3 days and towels weren’t changed for 3 days. Never got fresh bedding the whole holiday. The floor never got swept or washed in room. I had to re shower my feet after I got out of shower and put shoes on as feet were black off the floor. Never got a coffee machine in room as stated and used their milk one night on the coffee I bought and the milk was bad. This never got restocked. The food was so bland and rubbish, the rice was hard and uncooked on a couple of occasions and the chicken was raw. You had to struggle to find a clean plate and sometimes had to set your own table as they weren’t getting cleaned. So we ate out every single night after this. The lobby bar queue was stupid 1 person serving on bar and my husband stood 40 minutes for a drink. We never went back. The pool bar always ran out of glasses and when you did get one they were either dirty or cracked. The only good things about this holiday were the amazing people we met all the guests seem to gel together as we were all in the same position and the location of the hotel was great it was a 10 minute walk into town and 5 mins to waterpark if you wanted to use it. In my opinion they were very short staffed, and the poor staff were over worked and sick of their lives. I don’t think reception staff knew what any rules or procedures were either as I presume management kept changing things as everyone was getting told different things. Some people were getting their armbands cut off at 12pm and not allowed to use restaurants and bars and others weren’t, it was a shambles and I wouldn’t go back to this hotel if you paid me.

We travelled as a family of 4 with 4 year old and 14 month old. I wouldn’t agree with all the negative things people say about food I think it was good choice of what to eat every day in the buffet restaurant, we always found what to eat and no problem feeding kids. Never waited longer than 5 minutes for the drink always had clean table and cutlery. Rooms are cleaned and good size with fresh towels every day. Entertainment for kids was ok a bit repetitive but kids enjoyed it. The snack bar could do with improvement flies around all the food it’s not very appetising. Overall we enjoyed our stay and I would recommend this hotel if people are not too fussy.

I really wouldn’t recommend this hotel to any one at all it’s a very unhygienic hotel every plate you pick up has left over food on it glasses are constantly dirty every drink I had pretty much had bits in it we eaten a couple times in the restaurant hoping it would get better and it got worse we had to eat out ever day the bar staff was really nice though but over worked sometimes queuing 30 minutes for a drink the rooms in my opinion was clean and up to date pools are freezing cold and very salty I will be trying to get some of my money back as it cost £4000 defiantly not worth it
