Ray Hotel Corfu

We visited in October.. We have visited Corfu twice before but never so late in the year. The temperature was around 23/25 so made it very easy to sit in the sun without being uncomfortable. The hotel was around 20 minutes from the airport and we felt very expensive at 40 Euros . The Ray hotel is quite new and very modern. It was lovely clean and with very attentive and friendly staff. The hotel room was spacious and well equipped. It even had a small area with a coffee machine, sink and fridge. The shower was fabulous. The only thing that could improve the room would be to have a mirror in the room, as there was only one in the bathroom . The balcony was also very spacious and over looked the pool area. The pool area was lovely with amazing sun beds and the hotel bar served delicious cocktails. There was also a decked area towards the back of the hotel over looking the sea. We paid for half board and there was plenty of choice for both meals with a lovely view of the sea from your table. The area was a little quiet for us and only had one taverna close by. This was the Tylixto this was a lovely bustling taverna serving great food and wine . A Greek salad was approximately 6 euros and half a carafe of wine 7 euros. We caught the bus into Corfu town a couple of evenings which was 5 euros return .This took approximately 40 minutes. Corfu town is beautiful, full of history and lots of lovely cafe, bars and shops. We would recommend eating at the AEGLI and the GONDOLA restaurants in Corfu town. We would definitely visit again but would hire a car.

Stayed here a week, had dietary requirements which were managed exceptionally well by Spiridoula and Elena who ensured that I was well cared for and I had the correct food for my needs. This five star rating is specifically for them. Thank you both you are stars 🌟 On arrival welcomed by Nikos who assisted us with luggage to room. Breakfast buffet was good, evening buffet was good for meat eaters and very limited for vegan and vegetarians. Rooms and hotel are well kept and clean, rooms/ bathrooms are on the small side. Views are stunning from sea view rooms. Location of hotel is fine in terms of one supermarket and 2 restaurants, and a few restaurants 10 min walk. Bus stop to Corfu town and Bensites is outside . To go to Mouse island/ monastery is a 20 minute walk from hotel. Music from the pool and neighbouring hotel can be intrusive in the evenings. This hotel in our view meets a good 3 to 4 star standard.

We had the best time here. Booked the hotel as we wanted to use as a base to go explore and also get the ferry to Albania, so it's location was perfect to get the bus to the port. I would recommend the ferry to Albania if you have time on your trip, we booked a night in Ksamil and got the bus from there once we got off the ferry, the beaches were beautiful there and the hotels are really cheap for a 1 night stay. The bus stop is right outside the hotel so on an evening we would recommend going to Corfu Town or Benitises. Picante Mexican Restaurant in Benitises was amazing! Buses were fab, there a qr code to scan at the bus stop and it will tell you how far away they are and they run until late. The Gyros at the taverna across the road from the hotel were also fab at just under 5 euros! They also do takeaway if you'd prefer to bring back to your room and sit on your balcony. The hotel itself was fab, everywhere was spotless, plenty of sunbeds, chilled music during the day by the pool. You can paddleboard for free as much as you want here which we absolutely loved! We booked a sea room view which I would 100% recommend as the view is out of this world and is on the flight path. Breakfast was the best breakfast buffet we have ever had at a hotel. I did get bitten alive so I would ensure you have your bug deterent sprays won't you and bite cream. Thanks for a fab holiday!

We’ve been at Ray Hotel Corfù in august this year and everything was perfect!! the staff was very friendly and helpful with everyone and I highly recommend this place. just one negative thing for me…the position wasn’t the best one, there were just one supermarket and couple of rentals outside but not a proper city center for an evening walk. for corfu town, the nearest place, you have to take a 30 mins ride with a bus.

Lovely hotel with fabulous friendly staff. Fantastic room with amazing sea views. However, other than a snack bar and restaurant opposite, it is out on limb so a car is essential unless you want to sit round the pool all day. Food is average (salads are great!), at best luke warm, but that seems to be the thing with buffets wherever you go. Although they have entertainment 3 times a week in the bar/pool area, it is much more fun and half the price at the Oasis hotel next door.

Lovely Hotel , view was amazing, staff fantastic , Rooms clean ,enjoyed both dinner and breakfast , worth eating in the hotel, Pool area with music and good food . A very short walk into the sea is worth a swim
