Magpie the Chestnut Retreat

This is by far the best hotel to stay in Pelling , interms of location one cannot ask for a better place , all the rooms overlook the kanchenjunga ranges which is an absolutely stunning sight to behold . The rooms were well maintained and the wodden flooring mad the cold a little bearable , the staff were very warm and courteuos and catered to all our needs . Coming to the food , it was absoultely fabulous and served pipping hot whcoh was ideal for the cold weather we throughly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend this place for anyone visting pelling .

Spacious big n clean rooms, everything is good n welcoming there one can enjoy the stay and relax as much as can.Quiet and calm with view of mountains over looking. Food and hospitality is very nice. Best place to be in the group and enjoy. Staff are very friendly.

It was pleasant stay and food was good. Breakfast and Dinner served Hot. View of kanchenjunga mountain was awesome from our balcony. Staff was good and very well treated. Thanks for our trip planner for suggesting such beautiful place for stay.

Amazing location and excellent staff. Food was very good. We had breakfast and dinner here. The heaters in the room were so thoughtful. Felt very comfortable. Would definitely recommend also for the beautiful view of Kanchenjunga !!!!!!

Vivid view from a great location. Slightly short from a perfect stay though as the food was a bit undercooked and breads too thick for our liking. Furthermore exhaust fan was not working, bath area was missing a glass door and they were also out on hand towels. But trying to overlook that as the property was scenic and homely staff who took care of our requirements.
