Hotel le Compostelle

This small but perfectly formed room was close to all the major sights, and located in the charming Marais area of Paris. The room was clean and comfortable, albeit a little small. Would have loved to have a fridge available. When we stayed there was building work that disturbed us on the only day we wanted a lie in. Generally though we were up and out and about before they started.

It's definitely not the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The pics on the app are not a representation of what you get. The room was small with no natural light on the bed, and I could barely move in the shower. The only great thing about this hotel is the location. I asked for a better room and paid extra to get what you see in the pics. There was a kettle, but it couldn't be plugged in, so it made no sense. Very old school in all aspects. I definitely will not return, ever.

Definitely not the best hotel I have ever stayed in. I made my booking through ***********, and believe me when I say that they used pics to make this attractive. The room was so small with no natural light. I could barely move in the shower. There was a fan that felt like it was using the last to blow nothing. I asked for another room but the gentleman said they had no rooms available. I could not sleep night 1 and explained this to the manager on duty. He told me to wait for his manager in the morning. She then upgraded me at a cost. She (Oxana) was nice though. Where the room suddenly came from at that hour of the morning, I don't know. The staff were not pleasant. On Day 2, in the afternoon, we met up at my hotel and wanted to exchange gifts, but the grumpy receptionist would not let my friend in saying that only two people were allowed????? In broad daylight, not to stay. Also, you have to leave your key at reception and ring the bell when you're back from a night out. When i Anyway, the location is amazing, but I would NOT recommend it. It's old and ugly with rude staff and set in the last century. I didn't manage to get pics, but these are a few. The one with the bed is the upgraded room! The plug shows you that there's a kettle but nowhere to plug it in. The other one is part of my first room and it's taken from the bed.

Clean rooms, staff were helpful, bathroom was large, quiet area. We enjoyed our stay. Cafe across the street was yummy!

The hotel was just great! The hotel is in a nice area and walking distance for example from Notre Dame, Louvre and shopping. Near by there is lot of good restaurants and bars. The staff was very friendly. The room was nice with a bathtub and a balcony. The room was also very clean. I loved everything in this hotel and surely I will come back!

lovely little hotel in a great location!

This is a lovely small hotel in walking distance from bars restaurants museums and most importantly almost equidistant from metro stations at St.Paul and Hotel de Ville. Staff are always friendly and though small, the rooms are comfortable and clean. The cost is also very reasonable. I have stayed here on 3 occasions now and will use it again provided prices don't skyrocket
