Simple room, great location

I stayed at this hotel twice, ten days apart. It"s small and cozy. The big advantage is the elevator. A very friendly owner Yaz is always ready to help. The first time I lived in an improved single. Very high quality room. It has a wide bed, TV, coffee machine and kettle. The bathroom is small, but sufficient to shower and wash. The second time there was no such room, I had to stay in a regular single. In principle, it was good enough.. Except one. The pipes were humming there. I am no longer as young as I would like, so this personally prevented me from sleeping. But the next day I asked Yaz and he immediately moved me to another room,. although in general he was not obliged to do this. I'm very thankful for this. Next time in Paris, I will only stay at this hotel. If there are rooms there. It is rather popular. It’s half an hour’s walk to the Opera, plus there are two train stations and metro stations nearby.

For the price - you can't beat Hotel de Bordeaux. It was in a convenient location for our travels from Gare du Nord, and the staff were all friendly and professional. Whilst the rooms had everything we needed, it was definitely only a three star hotel. The amenities were basic, and if you are expecting a luxury experience - this is not the place for you. Rooms were clean, but the smell of chlorine/cleaning products was sometimes a bit much. If you are sensitive to noises late at night, this also may not be the place for you as there are a number of restaurants on the street below that are open till late. For the price, we'd definitely consider staying here again.

This is a very basic budget hotel, pretty rough around the edges, but in a great location with a friendly team running it. My friend and I had single rooms on the second and third floors, staying two nights before and after running the Paris marathon. Our rooms had separate en suite toilets and shower rooms, both only just big enough for their purpose, but enough for what we needed. The water in the shower was pretty cool in the mornings but had heated up for a hot shower after the marathon on Sunday! The single beds were comfy and a small fridge and kettle were provided in the rooms for drinks. For sure this is not a luxury hotel but for those prices what would you expect? Less than 10 minute walk from gare du nord and gare de l’est it is superbly connected to public transport and has some lively bars and restaurants in the surrounds area. My only real complaint is that the plumbing was very noisy, with toilets flushing around the building sounding loudly in my room, and one toilet flush getting stuck for a long time at 5 am the night before the marathon. But otherwise, if you are looking for a cheap hotel in Paris you could do a lot worse than staying here.

With prices for hotel rooms in Paris going out of control it feels like you shouldnt even complain about a room that costs around 70 euros per night. Hotel de Bordeaux is a 2 star hotel and nothing more than that. Very close to Gare del l'Est and Gare du Nord , convenient if you have to get a train in the morning. There are some caffes and restaurants in that street in case you want a drink or a quick snack. The room itself is small, relatively clean, decent bed. Quite noisy until 1 am. Average bathroom, needs some work done (I provide photos). Overall and compare to the other horror room that I got during my Paris holiday, Hotel de Bordeux is honest in its mediocrity.

Location is nice but it doesnt feel very clean. There is mold in the bathroom and the drains are full and water doesnt flow as easily as it is supposed to. Bedwear not needly put on the bed and floor and all else isnt clean. Showercurtain stinks and dust in every corner. Wouldn’t recommend, although price and location are fine. Friendly personel though and they are very funny and welcoming; feels very safe. Shame its not as clean as it could be! Rest is nice!

nice clean place. best part is that it has got lift also. very reasonably priced. room is small but has got all basic amenities. for short stays it is highly recommended and is well connected. Staff was cooperative
