Hotel Odessa Montparnasse

Never book this hotel, why? I gonna tell you every single points coming! 1. Paid tourist taxes during checkin and got a scam when checked out, luckily I communicated with their manager, make sure you keep the receipt and transaction record from your bank/ credit card, so you won’t be scammed. 2. Water suspension & Water pressure is not enough If you want to terrify yourself when you are catching the flight in the morning, and during the shower in the morning, water suspended three times. And the water pressure from the tape would be even stronger than the shower… 3. Woke up in 7am even on vacation Their cleaners will wake you up at 7am every single morning by making hard voices of pulling up the vacuum machine up and down, door slammed for uncountable time. 4. The lift was tiny like toy There was barely enough space for one big and one small luggage and a tiny Asian girl. Never visit here if you have more than 1 luggage or you are taller than 164cm. THINK TWICE AND READ MY COMMENTS BEFORE YOY DECIDE TO BOOK YOUR ROOM FROM THIS HOTEL.

Excellent location & great/friendly hosts. Compact hotel but very comfortable. Clean & tidy throughout. Would have liked kettle & mugs etc in room. More sockets & wall hangers would be great. Minor improvement would be strength of shower.

Kind and helpful staff, well placed hotel and with nice views from clean, well maintained rooms, good fittings,comfortable bed, compact, à la parisienne, but all fine. Excellent reasonably priced room service breakfast. Safe. Recommended. Will stay again. Lots of life and restos around. Montparnasse after all. Go to the cemetery nearby for a walk. Fantastic. Man Ray, Jacques Demy, Jean Seberg. Métro and market at the door.

The hotel has an amazing location. There is a metro stop right outside of the hotel and there are numerous restaurants/cafes right outside. We absolutely loved our stay here. This is an older hotel and has a lot of unique characteristics (small elevator, varying room configurations, etc). We found these things charming as were evidence of the age/history of the building. This is a two star hotel (meaning no restaurant, gym, etc.), but it is five stars when it comes to charm and location. The bathrooms were modern and well functioning. There was a heat wave when we were the and the air conditioning worked great. We had friends staying in another room and they booked a larger room. I would definitely spend the extra money for the larger room. The front desk staff were all so friendly and helpful. A special acknowledgment of Nicolas (The Receptionist) who is an artist.

A lovely, pared down, but well-appointed and immaculately clean small hotel, conveniently located to shops, dining, and the Gare Montparnasse. My husband and I had only one slight hiccup with one of the concierge staff (although my husband tipped him anyway, lol!), but otherwise the staff was professional, courteous, and a couple of them even took a personal interest in us. If you're an artist of some kind, check out the storied history of illustrious previous guests. And, yes, Leon Trotsky stayed here! That just adds for travellers like us more richness to the ambience. The air conditioning was divine--a life safer during a mid-September heat wave! We hope to stay here again.

We found this place where Leo Trosky stayed to be interesting. the location was good with all sorts of cafe's nearby as well as the cemetery where John Paul Satre and Baudelaire are buried, the staff was helpful and there was a convenient store just down the street where we picked up snacks and beer. It is a long way from the airport but not so far from train station. The two-person elevator was tight but no bother for us.
