I’m confused by all the great reviews about this hotel and the reviews are a big part of the reason I chose it for my stay in Paris so I felt obligated to share my perspective. Pros: -Great areas. Saint Germain is awesome, full of great bistros, cafes, and shops -Nice people at the front desk -They have complimentary water and drinks in the lobby which is nice although doesn’t make up for all the negatives Negatives: -Room. Our room was comically small. I’ve never stayed in a smaller hotel room in my life. For the price and rave reviews, I was shocked when I walked in. Yes the decorations are nice but there wasn’t so much as a lounge chair to sit down in after a long day of exploring Paris. -Bathroom. Dear god the bathroom and especially the shower. To have a shower like this in a 5 star hotel is inexcusable. I will attach a photo because it was so funny. There were two small glass panels that weren’t sealed to the ground so water would pour underneath and soak the entire bathroom floor. And then there was a shower curtain that would blow in while you were showing and stick to your body—no way to prevent it! My husband and I are both thin and couldn’t help but laugh every time we had to take a shower because of how uncomfortable it was and the mess it created. -Breakfast was very mediocre. Very limited options, even though our rate claimed full breakfast was included, when we arrived they said it was just the cold continental options. So we ended up eating out for breakfast most days. The lobby is nicely designed but at the end of the day…you need a comfortable place to sleep and bath, period. And for the price? This totally missed the mark
