I'd give this place two and a half stars. I stayed for two nights recently. It served my purposes well enough, but I'd recommend looking at other hotels if you're staying in the city for longer. The positives: It's clean. The staff are friendly enough. It's not a far walk from the city centre and public transit. The negatives: It feels very dated and more like a dormatory in some ways. My bed was not comfortable, the mattress was thin and the pillow was formless. Breakfast was buffet style and the selection was poor. Breakfast room was a bit small and claustrophobic. Hotel is located near a busy road and the train station, so it was a bit noisy at times. Lifts are small and not modern. There is a smoking space right at the main entrance so smoke is unavoidable. Not sure: I did my business in Czech, so I'm not sure about linguistic flexibility in the staff. I'm not sure any room offers special views, the surrounding area is very plain. My own room (413) was spacious for a single room in my experience. It was clean, but basic. Interestingly, the bathroom looked less dated than the rest of the room and so may have been redone more recently. I've stayed in hotels in Pardubice before. If my previous experiences in the city are anything to go by, Hotel Arnost Garni has work to do.
