After much research, I booked this hotel for a city break fot the end of our Summer holiday 2022 for my family of 3. The central location and the funky design of the rooms appealed to me. I booked directly with the hotel and communication was fast and friendly. This was November 2021 , eight months ahead of intended stay. At no point was I asked to prepay , and my credit card number was not sought. I didn't think much about that at the time, and no payment was requested at any point subsequently. I do not recall that being a condition at the time of booking. So, imagine my horror , when ,upon arrival at the hotel, there was no record of my booking, After a blasé response from the girl at reception , whose English was very poor, she called her boss and handed me the phone! This person then shouted at me, saying it was her day off and she didn't need this hassle! She said my room was cancelled as I hadn't paid in advance ! I said I wasn't asked to pay in advance! They had my email address and phone number! It would have been so easily rectified, but they failed to seek payment and made out it was my fault! So, now , we were ,unceremoniously left to wander the narrow streets of Palma Old Town ,in the late July heat, looking for a hotel . We wandered into Hotel Brondo , where, although, fully booked for the week, a very helpful receptionist, Hervé, helped us secure alternative accommodation. Before writing this review, I emailed the hotel, but received no response.
