Clean common areas & pool. This “upscale, elegant, deluxe furnishings, luxurious, modern, brand new, just a few steps away from the beaches” complex is 8 years old. Unit is more like a college dorm. Toilet & furniture are so low / Stains on the 4 tiny bed pillows, pillow protectors & pillowcases (replaced by request) / mattress with multiple stains and a flat sheet instead of mattress protector / splatter stains on white bedroom curtains / stained upholstery on all furniture & torn throw pillows / beat-up bedroom table / 2 cheap table lamps & torn shades / lamp without adapter to plug in / oversized, barely useable wall unit closet with 5 hangers opens into the bed / scratched living room side table / black defect across bathroom mirror / peeling Formica in kitchen / filthy throw rug. Permanent mold & mildew condition from AC. Smells horrible. Everything is musty. Loud dehumidifier runs all day & drains into the shower from a long moldy hose. Alarm sounds when water bucket is to be emptied several times & overnight The “fully equipped” kitchen has sp**** & useless supplies, a cheap plastic utensil set that falls apart. 2 rusty, moldy beach chairs. Did not receive the cooler & bought 1 for the beach. Paid for an umbrella at Moomba Beach. The 10 days of supplies were only 1 roll of toilet paper roll, 1 paper towel roll, 1 kitchen trash bag, 2 bathroom trash bags, 2 mini soap bars, a 3 oz dish soap bottle, and ¼ of leftover bag of powdered laundry detergent. The unit is cramped for 2 people. Nowhere to sit in front of a mirror to apply makeup or use a hairdryer. There are outlets in the bathroom but no counter space and no outlets or counter near the hall mirror. Problems well known and not fixed. Guests pay cleaning fee, but are to ***** beds, separate towels for housekeeping and clean the unit. Spent a lot on meals, supplies and hours cleaning. No onsite restaurant. 5 min drive to beach. Weekly housekeeping. No cleaning supplies. Can’t change rooms. Many rules & hefty fines. Communicating with management for 8 days with no resolution. Admitted that AC problem cannot be disclosed online since it’s bad for business. VRBO rejected my review twice requesting revision.
