La Cite Hotel

Fabulous hotel. Staff are the friendliest people you could ever meet, you are always greeted with a smile and a bit of banter. As for facilities just read the previous reviews, they say it all. Thanks to all the staff for making our holiday a five star experience

What can we say .. an excellent Holiday .. Great Little Hotel .. Rooms have everything you need for a Holiday .. Comfortable bed .. small but functional Bathroom .. Plenty of Storage space .. Free Air-Con and safe .. Beautiful pool and Gardens .. 5 mins from Main square .. But the holiday was made by all the Staff .. cleaners .. cooks .. gardener all excellent .. Massive Thank You to Jeanetta and Thekla who went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful holiday .. first time in Kefalonia will not be the last .. looking to book the Hotel again next year .. thank you to everyone Lynn and Peter x

Absolutely loved this hotel,had a fabulous holiday.janetta and her team are amazing very helpful recommending restaurants and organising taxis.transfer smooth and quick with jet2 including ferry crossing.rooms basic but very clean and I requested a certain one and was given it.will definitely be returning.

Just spent a lovely week at La Cite a wonderful little hotel. Our room and balcony where small but spotlessly clean with a garden view, the room had TV , air con, kettle , safety deposit box , hair dryer etc. Breakfast was simple ( cooked items availed at a charge) but plentiful, the garden was beautiful and very well maintained. The pool was also lovely, I used it a lot which is rare for me! Lastly a special mention to the staff, Theki, Jeanette, Dora, Roula and every one else who where wonderful ! The friendliest place I have ever stayed, a very big thank you for a faultless week.

The great reviews about the wonderful staff are not exaggerated at all, they are all so helpful and pleasant. The grounds/pool are kept beautiful. We loved the breakfast and staff made sure there was always plenty of food/drinks available. A great bar and food menu throughout the day and night . Our room was kept really clean and tidy by more lovely staff, they even folded my pjs every day. I would say most people are aged 55 upwards but everyone seems to have a great time. Free air-con, fridge and kettle which is a bonus. We cant fault this hotel at all. It is situated really close to the town, but far enough away to be relaxing. Loved lixouri it is a really beautiful place with loads of lovely restaurants, our favourite was zefki. Another bonus was the ferry ride to Argostoli which costs €3 euros. Enjoy your holidays!

Lovely hotel real little gem great location . Jeneta and staff go out of way to make you feel welcome. Rooms cleaned daily.Lovely pool beautiful well cared for gardens. Had the most relaxing holiday ever.

We went to kefalonia towards the end of August and we absolutely loved our stay. The rooms are small but have a fridge, good air conditioning and despite the small bathroom it's the only one in Greece that I've been too where the bathroom doesn't flood following a shower. Breakfast was absolutely fine. Yes there is the same selection every morning but you can pick and choose what you want to vary it. Lovely breakfast room and you could eat outside if you wished. The gardens here are absolutely immaculate and some of the loveliest I've seen. There are lots of sunbeds by the pool and also in the garden area. The pool was really refreshing and it was kept clean. There was food served till 7pm so it was really easy to order food in the afternoon if you didn't want to leave the pool. Food was reasonably priced too which was great and definitely encouraged us to stay in the grounds rather than head out for lunch. The main square is 5 minutes away. Lots of lovely bars and restaurants and despite being vegetarian we managed to find something to eat every night. Look forward to being able to return one day, as this was the perfect relaxing week away before heading back to work.

My partner and I stayed here at the end of July. Room was a good size with a larger than most balcony with great views. The wardrobe had the most hangers we'd ever had in a hotel! Breakfast was very basic but sufficient. Did get quite boring towards the end of the holiday. Nice outside area to eat but only if you love cats (we do), as they do tend to beg around the tables. Pool is nice, with beds and a few umbrellas round the edge and on the grass. Ideal location for square, restaurants and ferry. Jeanetta and her staff were all lovely and very helpful. Confirmed it is going to be adults only next year.
