Masseria Sant' Anna was a cute little hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms could use a little updating, but overall, not a bad place to stay. However, this hotel is located in Palese, not Bari proper and is really out of the way from anything interesting. it is a VERY quiet area with nothing to do...not really a tourist destination.

I never review anything on the internet, but I made a trip advisor account just to make sure people knew about how awful this place was. We booked this place in the hopes of getting a rustic, charming experience but what we got was far from that. We stayed here after getting off the ferry from Dubrovnik on our way to Napoli. This was by far the worst travel experience we’ve ever had. Location - 1/5 The first thing to note is that this hotel is NOT in Bari. There are no Ubers and the taxi into town costs €30 every time. You’re far from everything and it feels more like a neighborhood hotel not meant for travelers. Rooms - 2/5 The actual hotel is converted from a fort of some kind. Our room was in what used to be a closet and had cumbersome lock. The beds were insanely hard. Even with great AC (the one good thing here), we got very poor sleep because of the mattresses. The shower smelled weird and was tiny. I could barely move my arms in there to clean my body. The room we were stayed in was a faraday cage and blocked all cellular service AND the hotel’s Wi-Fi. Service - 0/5 The staff acted like they were doing you a favor when you asked them for anything. When we asked about the Wi-Fi situation, they told us there was nothing they could do and couldn’t switch rooms. That’s it. The staff seemed irritated every time we asked them to call us a taxi - remember there are no Ubers or other forms of transport nearby. If you’re used to any form of service at hotels don’t expect that here. Breakfast - 1/5 The breakfast was truly the saddest I’ve ever had anywhere. Just some cold, unappetizing meats and baked goods. Really low effort here. At least it was included in the price so there’s that to be thankful for. Overall, I would say this place is one to avoid if you want a good experience. We couldn’t get out of the place quickly enough. Bari itself is charming and well worth seeing. I would say you’re better off staying at a hostel in the actual city over this terrible hotel. This hotel gave me a new low to compare every other place too.

Used as a overnight before travelling home from Bari airport. Very nice niche hotel near the sea. Staff were a little short of experience but made up for that with effort.

Excellent location- wonderful kind and friendly staff. Served us excellent breakfast at 6:30 am for our early flight - near airport, sea and bari’s historic center is a short taxi ride away. Clean rooms. Great atmosphere as it is originally an 1700s farmhouse - even has the original chapel

We decided to spend the weekend in Bari. We checked *********** and found Masseria Sant'Anna in Bari Palese. The hotel was situated about 2 blocks from the beach. The room was basic and served our purpose. One of the best parts of the stay was meeting Samuela at the front desk. She was friendly, efficient and helpful. We asked her for recommendations for dinner and she gave us the names of three restaurants. On our afternoon walk we noticed one of the restaurants which looked really nice. On the way back to our room we stopped at the front desk and asked Samuela if she could write down the restaurants for us so that we could check them out online and make a reservation. Then we asked if she was going out to dinner with friends or family, where would she go. She gave us another name and we are so glad she did. The restaurant was very good, and even better, it was in a part of town we never would’ve seen had we not been going to this restaurant. It was about a 30- to 45-minute walk from the hotel, which we loved, and as we approached the area, we saw a lot of people (primarily locals), shops, stores and restaurants. After dinner we were able to casually walk around and even stopped for a gelato. As I said, the hotel was perfect for us; and if you’re lucky, you’ll meet Samuela!

The perfect stay for a quick trip to the airport. A lovely few minutes walk to the beach, and about a 15 minute walk to a fabulous seafood restaurant on the water (La Scoglio). The room was very comfortable , and the staff were very helpful. We were delighted to have a cappuccino and light breakfast offered to us when we reached the lobby to get our 4am taxi to the airport. It is a 20 minute taxi ride to the ancient center of Bari which cost 25 euros.

Personale gentile, colazione buona ma struttura un parecchio datata che meriterebbe un rifacimento delle stanze, la pulizia delle stesse non è eccellente. Posto comodo vicino a ristorante buono. In prossimità del mare. Prezzo abbastanza in linea.

Ho scelto questo hotel perché pensavo che rispetto agli altri in zona fosse più rustico ed accogliente. Mi sbagliavo. È estremamente datato, con divani e altri mobili rotti, moquette del 1960, il tutto da molto senso di sporco. La camera lasciava molto a desiderare. Ho scelto una tripla ed era così piccola e claustrofobia che non c’era alcun modo di mettere le valigie ai piedi di ogni letto, così mi sono vista costretta a disfare interamente le valigie anche se ci siamo fermati qualche giorno. L’armadio con un paio di appendini non era sufficiente a contenere le nostre cose (due mini trolley di quelli che puoi portare in aereo e una valigia da stiva), la cassaforte era rotta. Pur essendo in 3, ho trovato un solo set di asciugamani e non c’erano i soliti saponi e cuffie per 3. Questo è stato rimediato ma solo il primo giorno.. dal secondo ho dovuto dividere gli asciugamani con i miei figli.. finestra del bagno completamente marcia e aspettate, aspettate.. che non solo è marcia con il meccanismo di chiusura rotto, ma che viene lasciata spalancata dal personale delle pulizie. Il problema è che la finestra del bagno da sul balcone di una camera attigua, quindi con il rischio di trovarci qualcuno in camera che venga dalla stanza di fianco o sia salito dal balcone.. riporto questo grave problema di sicurezza che non mi fa dormire la notte e il personale cerca di minimizzarlo, dicendo che fa niente, di non preoccuparsi e che il posto è tranquillo. Intanto scopro anche che le lenzuola non sono adatte ai nostri letti. Mi spiego. Il lenzuolo che copre il materasso non ha angoli e non è grande abbastanza per coprirlo, così la testa e i piedi del materasso rimangono scoperti ma cosa ancora più raccapricciante, non c’è coprimaterasso. Quindi ogni notte, il letto si disfaceva, lasciando le mie gambe a diretto contatto con il materasso. Un disgusto. La colazione non era meglio. Personale inesistente o disattento, tavoli non preparati o cambiati per la colazione, frutta marcia e vecchia, brioche e pasticciotti chiaramente del giorno prima e succhi annacquati, quando la macchina dei succhi si degnava di funzionare. Non hanno assolutamente idea di cosa sia un 4 stelle, gliene darei 1 o 2 massimo. Sconsigliatissimo
