The Columbia hotel is classified 2 stars, but deserves 3 for its central and strategic location for visiting Palermo, excellent services and super friendly staff. The double room is large and has a private bathroom with courtesy set, with a beautiful view from the window. There is no elevator, but that wasn't a problem for us. Breakfast is complete with sweet and savory options and can be enjoyed until 10am. Around the hotel there are many places to eat at a good price. Overall, a great hotel. I would stay here again.

The receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was clean and washrooms were neatly maintained too. Breakfast was tasty and was available at a nominal cost.

Excellent place, 5 minutes walk to the car and waiting for the train station. Also 5 minutes to the center, supermarket in the neighboring house. The overall bathroom was always absolutely clean. The room worked air conditioner, clean and good bed linen. Friendly and attentive host

we had a bit of problems communicating in the beginning but it was all fixed. the room is conformable and spacious . recommended

I haven't even checked out yet, but this is a great place to stay. Hosts Luigi and Gaetano are AWESOME; super friendly. My room had individual heating which came in handy as it's still technically winter. The location is FANTASTIC! It's hidden in a little piazza less than 10 minutes walk to Teatro Massimo. There are several restaurants and a sweet shop in the piazza and a Coop market across from the entrance to purchase whatever to need. I'd definitely stay here if I had another trip to Palermo.
