Hilton Yala Resort

Great place to stay if you are visiting Yala National Park. Very new and well maintained facilities with the team of professional warmly welcomes you.

My family and I have just checked out after a 4 nights stay and I can hardly find the correct words to describe how beautiful this place was. The people working in this hotel are simply beautiful, the food is more than you could’ve ever expected (they will do anything for you, just ask for), the quality of the villa is top class. Each villa comes with a heated pool + the main pool which is huge and heated, too. We were on two different safaris and our kids simply loved it. We cannot find enough words to thank our ranger, Sanka @rangerbyaccident (follow him on IG), who did everything possible to entertain, but more important, to teach my son and my daughter the secrets of wildlife. Every morning he took my 6 yo son for a short adventure walk, teaching and showing him different footprints, chasing wild buffaloes, crocodiles or elephants. A man fully dedicated to the wild. He didn’t teach them algebra or science, but he taught them life. Couldn’t be more grateful and thankful for this experience! A place I would highly recommend!

A spectacular new (October 2023) resort within the wildlife buffer zone of Yala National Park. The hotel, restaurant, pool, all common areas and especially the villa are all top notch, as are all staff members we encountered. My wife and I spent a fabulous 5 nights at the Hilton Yala Resort. The resort's own ranger assigned to us was very knowledgeable and friendly, making nature walks, safari in Yala and snorkeling at Great Basses Reef extra special. An unforgettable vacation!

The Hilton Yala Resort is a fantastic hotel that does its u**ost to incorporate a luxurious hotel experience and a strong connection to nature. We had the pleasure to stay at the resort for 5 nights and especially enjoyed the Chef's offer to customize any dish and of course the safaris. I can't recommend this hotel enough IF you are interested in learning about and experiencing nature, while living in some of the most modern and stylish rooms and villas in the area. The one tiny small point of improvement I can offer is that it would be nice if the staff brought cold water to you when at the big swimming pool. We had to either bring our own or walk up to the reception and ask for it which seems unnecessarily complicated. I am not sure why this is being done but I can't imagine that this will interfere with the wildlife on the premises?

This hotel is just a social media hype. Totally disappointed with the location and horrible food Locals please don’t get caught for social media hype. they charge massive and you get nothing in return! Not worth at all……………………………………………….

Our stay at the Hilton Yala was a delight. The service was outstanding - our needs were met at all stages. We enjoyed our trea**ent at the spa which was one of the most beautiful settings I have seen - nestled amongst the rocks within the national park. The food was wonderful although the wine list was a bit quirky! The safari was led by an incredibly knowledgeable and capable team. We sailed past the queues of trucks waiting for entry to the national park and our guide and driver spotted wildlife apparently before anyone else. Our guide had the answers to all our questions! I would highly recommend a stay at this beautiful hotel.

Our experience was exceptional @ Hilton Yala Resort. Food, Services and facilities were next level. General Manager Githanjali was very helpful and professional. Our next visit will not be too long.

When you drive up to the entrance of Hilton you’ll be greeted by the most beautiful smiling faces of the team who are eager to make your experience amazing! The property situated in a national park is so well conceptualized. Initially you’ll be captured by the property, the views and the aesthetic but as time goes you’ll see that it’s actually the team there that takes your experience to a top notch level! Gitanjali, the GM constantly checked in with us and considering it was a big holiday for Sri Lankans, she was constantly available and stayed there for her guests and staff. She truly runs the place by leading by example. Jerome, the executive chef and his team of chefs he has trained are making some of the most amazing food with the locally sourced ingredients. Every meal we had, he checked in with us to make sure our restrictions were addressed and we enjoyed the meal. His food has a flare of Sri Lanka but also some homely feel to it that gets you excited for your next meal in the restaurant. Vino, Hashini, Kenny, Pravin, Anuradha, the buggy boys, to the security manager and many more that I’m not sure of the names; each of the staff members went above and beyond during our stay. Weather it was our wait staff or the boy who knocked at my door to tell me there is an elephant on the property as I’d really wanted to see one if it came; every team member there makes your stay exceptional I’m not the one to write such reviews, probably one of the few times that a stay has come home with us and yes to an extent it’s the property and the place, but beyond that it’s the people that have made this place so memorable and the experience we have there beyond our expectations. We will definitely be going back sooner than planned and we would highly recommend Hilton Yala as your stay.

Wonderful stay in serene a**osphere. Calm and quiet, our pool villa was exceptional with good maintenance daily. The main area around lobby was amazing and lovely views of the ocean . The restaurants were nice with decent food menu , though more elaborate menu is possible with more variety! Jungle safari was decent experience and we enjoyed sunny and rainy weather during our stay! All staff were forthcoming and eager to help and cordial! The GM Miss Geetanjali was cordial and polite , so was the main Chef who made sure we get some tailor made dishes during our stay! All in all wonderful time ! Will plan to be back with friends!
