The rooms are small and do not have any drawers for putting clothes and other items in, a fridge or a safe although the bed and bedding are good and the small bathroom has everything except tissues. The rooms are clean. Warning: obese guests would not be able to get into the tiny shower in our room, number 72, supposedly the best room because it has a terrace. However, during our stay it was far too hot to sit out there. It has no shade. We were there in a heatwave with temperatures up to 35°C/95°F and the air conditioning was totally unable to cope with these temperatures. We put the thermostat on the lowest setting, 5°C, but the room temperature never fell below 26° and was mostly higher. The cleaning staff must have orders to switch off the AC, as we always came back to find the AC off, the windows open and the room sweltering. The breakfast is nothing special, although in Italy breakfast is no a serious meal and it's rare to find a really good one. Here the most popular items quickly disappear and are not always replaced, so it pays to come very early. The staff seem bored and don't always make an effort to make one feel welcome. We would not stay here again. One big plus, however, is the good location. Another is the offstreet car-parking for €10 per day. As for the works of art of which the hotel boasts, they are mostly bizarre, sometimes disturbing and would not be to most people's taste.
