Two things strike you when you pull in to Sjoberg Ferie,
1) a beautiful location and 2) the look of a construction yard, with temporary structures (porto-potty?) and window/doors either about to be installed or just being taken out.
The room was comfortable enough with a kitchenette (fridge, stovetop - no microwave or oven). A jumble of IKEA furniture, average design and a bed frame so awkward it was uncomfortable to sit up and watch tv. Decent number of outlets but no hooks in the bathroom.
Best surprises were Apple TV and pretty tasty food from the kitchen where we had breakfast and supper. Emphasis on local ingredients.
One annoyance: other guests smoke outside and it seeped through.
Conveniently, there's a supermarket just a 3 minute walk from the hotel. Nothing bad, just not a wow for a 3 star at high season price.

We stayed one night on our 2 week trip around Southern Norway but we wish we could have stayed longer - one of the favourite places we stayed on our trip. Laid back atmosphere, breathtaking location right on the waterfront, super friendly staff and excellent dinner.

We only had three nights here, and we were blessed with the weather (Norway in October!) We ate at the restaurant, the food was wholesome and what we wanted. We tried kayaking using the facilities and hill walking nearby. We could properly relax!

This is not only a hotel, but also a lovely restaurant!! The restaurant serves nice fish - cooked the traditional Norwegian way - as well as a number of other options (burgers, wraps etc.). What we liked the best: Very friendly service and a fjord view ❤️

Endroit magnifique en bord de mer. Places pour camping cars bien agencées. Poir les non campeirs il existe des appartements spacieux très agréables. Les hôtes sont éminemment sympathiques, accueuil phénoménal, gentillesse absolue. Les enfants ont été initiés à la pêche à la ligne par le propriétaire. On a pu louer un bateau. Leur cuisine du terroir avec des produits frais est juste excellente. Besoin d un pic nic, ils s en chargent et là aussi super bon Bref un endroit à ne surtout pas manquer. La vue est époustouflante
