La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Orlando UCF

Everyone at the hotel is very helpful and informative. Breakfast is a little lacking but its passable. Great location, 7min drive from UCF Addition Financial arena. Cheapest price around too for what it is. Great for a single night stay, maybe 2 but anymore than that the bed will mess your back up and the minimal shower water pressure will irk you.

The hot water didn’t work in the shower. It was 50 degrees out and the water was barely luke warm . When we went to let the front desk know we were told to “ well don’t take a shower” and maintence isn’t here . We thought a very inappropriate response and one should be worried when a paying guest doesn’t have a shower or is forced to take a cool shower on cold weather .

The bathroom shower had mold and faucet is defective. The tv did not work properly. Carpet smelled

The hotel and room were both nice and clean however the bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were hard

We booked this room for 4 people which is why we requested the suite and paid more for this. The pullout sofa was basically a twin so ine of our childrem slept on the floor. They did provide us another blanket but still dont think we got what we paid for

Good sized rooms, but dated. Doors are a little skimpy and allow hall noise into the room. The exterior needs repair and updating, with that said everything worked. While dated the furnishings do feel more recent, but the mattresses could definitely use an update. Friendly staff, decent breakfast, but no meat choices. TV audio kepted skipping, but we didn't spend much time in the room or at the hotel. A little pricey for what you get, but if you need something near UCF, but not campus adjacent this is perfect. Once the updated sidewalk is updated it'll make for a long walk or a short scooter ride.

One night stay for an event at UCF. Location was good. Included breakfast was helpful. Clean property.

Everything was great except for one thing. The in-room television has the HDMI ports locked down so you can't connect your own device to it. I tried my Nintendo Switch with no luck. You can physically connect the cable, but it won't display on the TV. There's a separate device, a black box, behind the television that responds to the remote and displays the hotel menu. This menu had some simple instructions for connecting your own device, just plug the HDMI into the port on the black box and hit OK on the remote. Except, it still doesn't work. I don't understand the reasoning behind having these ports locked down in the first place. It seems very hostile to paying customers. Do they seriously expect that people will give up on using their devices and instead shell out some money for whatever pay-per-view options they offer? All they accomplished in my case was degrading my stay from a 5-star to a 4-star and in the future I'll be more likely to look at other hotel options. I honestly considered rating even lower because this feels like such a greed-motivated decision and I found it extremely distasteful. It almost felt like an extortion attempt. The way I look at it, the in-room television adds value to what you're paying for. If that television is locked down like that, suddenly it becomes a negative instead of a positive or even just neutral, particularly when *nothing* on your website has a disclaimer regarding your in-room televisions being locked down.

Great for overnite travel, rooms clean and plenty of space, shower hot, fluffy towels, front desk very personable.
