We stayed here in November 2023 for the first few days of our honeymoon, and it was the perfect start! The lovely staff welcomed us with a fruit platter, wine and chocolates to celebrate and upgraded our room. The suite was stunning. A free standing bath, views of Wellington, and gorgeous mid century furniture. The bed was super comfy, toiletries and tea/coffee provided was all very thoughtful (fairtrade tea and compostable mini toiletries). His and hers sinks, a mini balcony and lots more. We can’t recommend Ohtel enough. Thank you to the lovely team for making our stay so great!

Oh tel is the best place to stay when in Wellington, New Zealand! The rooms are exceptionally clean, fresh, and welcoming, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The staff goes above and beyond with their kindness and friendliness, ensuring we felt at home. With its unbeatable location right across from the waterfront and delicious meals, including breakfast, Oh tel truly offers the best Wellington experience.. very highly recommend. Will certainly return to this hotel again.

We wanted a short city break and thought we’d try staying somewhere different. Booking at Ohtel Wellington was a great decision. Attentive staff, great room, great views, great location, nice and quiet at night. What’s not to like. And yes, the balcony rooms are worth that little bit extra.

Loved everything about this place. The location is perfect with a very easy walk into the city and Oriental Bay. Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, light and airy with quality furnishings. The bed was particularly comfortable with top-quality linen. We took a room with a balcony and it was wonderful in the afternoon with the sun streaming in. We would highly recommend this place and will certainly come back again.

Staff are lovely and the location is good. However for the price expect better internet access - there is fibre available in Wellington so no excuse really. Also our first room had no opening window and was very stuffy. We paid for an upgrade so we had fresh air however the cleaning smell, maybe carpet refresher ? was overbearing and the bathroom fan rattled all night. It's a shame when a good idea - mid century boutique - deteriorates into over priced 3 star accommodation.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ohtel. Just across from the harbor promenade, the location is perfect. The small staff is warm and friendly. You are in walking distance to all of downtown Wellington but especially to the exciting harbor area, a great walk that ends with a new restaurant area right on the wharf. A grocery store (New World) is two blocks away.

The staff were amazing and the room was large and clean, wonderful stay. Getting the newspaper was a really nice touch. The proximity to amazing places to eats is a huge plus and the coffee served at the cafe was nice.

Great place for a,couple and their dog.....had a good night's sleep bed was comfortable and the service was excellent from booking to check out. Central location. Room on ground floor so easy to take doggy out as he needed.

This hotel was a highlight of a wonderful vacation. The hotel is so efficient and a little quirky in style but a few key factors were Kay and her colleague at the front desk that took such great care of us, Kay made us our coffee each day and answered our many questions and with a wonderful cheerful attitude. The young man at the reception took bags took our room upon check in which was so unexpected but beyond expectation, we will come back, our room in the front was so spacious and the bed amazing!!
