This property is older and badly in need of proper renovation. Our first oceanfront family suite in the diamond club had a nasty moldy smell, and the view of the ocean was blocked by trees and a swim-up bar. I paid extra and moved into a presidential suite the next day, after being told initially that there were no other rooms available. The new suite had a bathroom door and a bedroom door that wouldn’t stay closed, and the curtains in both the living room and bedroom would not open and close easily, despite multiple calls placed to maintenance. The French restaurant and the steakhouse were the only a la carte restaurants that were acceptable. The Italian, Caribbean and Tex Mex restaurants left us sorely disappointed. Service at the resort was slow and average, and most waitresses lacked professional training. The beach had lots of soggy sea**** piled up for several days. We were told that the hotel was waiting for a collection truck to remove the sea****, and no one at the hotel seemed bothered by the sight of sea**** smack in the middle of the hotel’s beach for days. The entertainment team tried its best, but the evening shows could use significant improvement. Overall, I was disappointed by this hotel and will not return.
