This is a very nicely decorated boutique hotel. Clean designs, nice touches. E.g. the barn door to the bathroom has a soft-close mechanism. Staff is nice. Only 2 minor complaints. Our room was located directly across from the entry, so we could hear every single person walk in to our floor and also hear them talking. We upgraded our room, so we were a little disappointed that an upgraded room had such a poor location. Other complaint was that the restaurant was a little unorganized. All the staff were friendly and helpful, but they felt uncoordiated. We waited at our table for more than 20 minutes just to get a menu. And our table had no silverware, something our waitress didn't even notice until after our food came and we had to ask. The cocktail menu we were given was out of date. After they gave it to us, they came back later and told us they only had 1 or 2 of the ~10 because they were going through the new season's ingredients or something like that. For brunch, we were given breakfast menus and we had to ask for brunch menus. We arrived right around the start of brunch, so maybe that's why. None of these things were a big deal, just need a little bit more coordination/preparation. The rooftop pool is small, but good enough for relaxing on a hot day with poolside food/drinks. The other half of the rooftop area is couches, which is fine/understandable, but I might have opted for a bigger pool and a smaller lounge area personally. The bartender was fantastic. One minor complaint is that the food selection is limited at the rooftop. But she said we could go down to the lobby where they have a bigger selection and they would bring it to us. This is something they should figure out though - I don't see why they can't provide a full menu of available things to order and order it for you. Location is great. You can walk from your room to Whole Foods in a little more than 5 minutes without crossing any major street.
