"This is the oldest inn in Yunotsu. When visiting a hot spring resort for the first time, I always choose historic inns and like to hear about the town's history and origins from the innkeeper, so I chose this one without hesitation. I prefer traditional Japanese-style rooms, even if they are a little inconvenient, so I stayed in the "Kinnami" room, which has retained most of its Meiji-era design rather than a fully renovated room. However, this room was comfortable with a renovated bathroom, a table and chairs in the tatami room, an adjoining bedroom, and the air conditioning worked well, so there were no problems with the older room. [Food] Since I was planning a week-long stay, I figured the amount of regular ryokan meals would be too much for me, so I initially booked a room-only plan. However, after reading reviews of the inn and learning about its excellent food, I decided to book a one-night stay with two meals included. This is a famous hot spring that is perfect for those who are particular about water quality and natural hot spring water. There is also a newly renovated and beautiful free-use private bath, making it convenient for people who require assistance and families with children. [Location] Located in a beautiful townscape designated as a World Heritage Site, about a 15-minute walk from JR Yunotsu Station, the inn offers shuttle service to and from the station. The hot spring town is small, so outdoor baths and restaurants are within five minutes of the inn. Ryugozen Shrine, where Yunotsu Kagura dance is dedicated, is located almost diagonally across the street. The Yunotsu Kagura performance was a powerful and magnificent piece of local performing art.
