Crystal Sands Motel

Booked this motel through a 3rd party site and were apprehensive.....but, it was nothing short of an amazing stay! So clean, quiet, close to the boards, great A/C, kitchenette with dishes and appliances and the customer service was top notch! Jonela could not have been nicer or more accommodating for 2 tired RN Moms who came for a quiet getaway. We have found this hidden gem and will be back every year! Thanks so much, Jonela!!

I would have liked to have rated this place better but the entire stay was overshadowed by the annoying parking situation. The hotel has about 12 parking spots and clearly more rooms. This is NOT clearly advertised anywhere online that I saw (maybe I'm wrong but I usually do my research well). The second lot is around the corner and across a busy highway across the street. Not "around the back" as was described at check in. Off street parking could be plentiful if it wasn't for the air show. So this circus of trying to find street parking or walking across a busy highway overshadowed a lot. If that doesn't bother you then disregard this rant... but the parking should be accurately described at booking especially for people that are older or handicapped. Same with the 3 floors no elevator....no handles or grab bars in shower... The rest was fine for what it was. Room was large, everything was in working order, close to beach and boardwalk for an easy walk, Starbucks is right next door for coffee. Desk staff gave items requested right away with no issues and they were pleasant. Room was fairly clean. The shower in 308 needs a complete scrub and new curtain and fan in bathroom is dirty!!

The place is a hidden gem. We really loved how spacious the room was. The new kitchen with is definitely a bonus. It comes with cook top, full size refrigerator and all the pots, pans and everything you need. Staff are amazing and always making sure you having everything you need. The owners seem to really care about this place. And how about that great location, right in front of Starbucks and so close to the boardwalk and the beach. This will be our to go place now.

We did not have reservations and when we checked availability there were no king rooms available which is our preference, only doubles. This was a deal breaker until the owner, who is super nice, suggested we take a look at the room. Well, it was a very roomy and very clean double room with a fully stocked kitchen and all for a very good price. We were sold, and decided we would tolerate the double beds for the extra space. We loved having the kitchen for couple of days we were here. Did I mention the room was very clean and the owner was very nice and extremely helpful?!?! 😀. We would stay here again for sure!

This place was just ok. I wiped the closet floor with a sani wipe, which was filthy. The bathtub was sketchy and they do not come to tidy up your room. I felt it was very pricey for the type of hotel. Spend an extra hundred dollars and stay somewhere nicer and cleaner. +close to beach

Ample room sizes, great kitchenette full size fridge, rooms have new paint, mouldings, doors, pantry cabinets new as well . Conveniently located just few steps from boardwalk and stores, kitchenette fully stocked with new pots, pans, utensils, diningware everything you need, full size fridge. Beds are very comfortable, staff is very nice and accommodating, very pleasant stay overall. Some room for improvement with bathroom floors cleaning and drip pans in rooms that have electric range stoves .

They have cameras in each room entrance, they check how many people are in each room to charge you $50 for each extra person. They dont have to much parking you have to park far from the hotel

We stayed here for a week in august 2022 and were very happy with the accomodations. The owners are very present, extremely attentive and as a bonus, super friendly!!!The place is clean, well taken care of and 2 minutes away from the boardwalk by foot without having the noise from the boardwalk. We will absolutely stau here agwin 2hen we go to Ocean city!!!

Clean, updated rooms. Friendly staff. Small kitchenette with all cook/dish-ware provided. Parking lot is very small so if you have a big vehicle either practice your tight space driving skills or get out your walking shoes because you’ll be parking in their extra lot across the street. They do have a loading zone out front so you don’t have to lug your stuff far when you first arrive if the front lot is full. Would definitely stay here again.
