Palms Hotel Fire Island

Had a great mid-week deal to revisit beautiful Fire Island. Still not inexpensive, but Palms Hotel is very nice, great location, and staff are friendly and very accommodating. Nice little sparkly Happy Hour offerings, snacks. Bungalow room with balcony was lovely. BUT, no coffee machine, no mini fridge, no closet! Very grateful I brought my cooler backpack, definitely a necessity. Their private beach is a big plus in the "Land of No," because you can drink, eat there on the (bay side) beach, but it is a rather small space. Couldn't imagine it being pleasant on busy weekend. It was already post-Memorial Day, but bathrooms were not working/locked. No staff onsite, had to text for kayak, etc. All in all, great restaurants, people, had great time, but bring your wallet fat, expect to leave it thin, and not luxury.

I can not say enough good things about The Palms. My time spent at hotel with my husband and good friends was amazing from start to finish. Pat checked us in. Made us feel like family. Hotel takes bags and you have access to beautiful private oasis Rumbellis. Nick was the best. Super accommodating,kind and helpful. We felt like we were on a private island in the Caribbean. Our room was beautiful and to wake up and have a hot breakfast is unheard of these days especially on Fire Island. The hotel supplies water bottles too. An absolute plus. We used bbq too !I so enjoyed using bicycle too!This is our third stay and I’m ready to book again. I’ll be taking more friends. To be so close to home and enjoying this beautiful island was amazing. Night life and restaurants are top notch. Beautiful time great experience. Friendly caring staff and owners were on site and so pleasant. I can’t say enough. I highly recommend! Enjoy Long Island. Continued service improvements! I have stayed at the Palms Ocean Beach on several occasions over the past 10 years. My introduction to the Palms ( and Ocean Beach, Fire Island) was through a Groupon offer. Since then, this venue has been a dependable, clean, and favorite overnight destination on Fire Island! This year, I was pleased with their offering of a buffet breakfast and discounts at several establishments. It is good to see growth and I look forward to returning for another getaway.

Our family spent a blissful 24 hours in Ocean Beach and the Palm was perfection. Everything we could possibly ask for and then some. We called the morning on the day we stayed and we were fortunate they had availability. Can’t wait to return!!

What a great stay! Such a welcoming and friendly staff! Wonderful location. Loved using the bikes to explore. My daughter had never been to OB so we loved how convenient The Palms was to all the action. Thanks for the memories & we will be back!

We thought the Palms hotel was great. The service was excellent. They allowed us to check in early. They kept our luggage when we checked out so we could still go around the island and we could still use their amenities. Very, very nice people. Breakfast at Castaway's was included and very good. We had access to bikes, Kayaks and their private beach. Very relaxing.

We just came back from our daughter’s wedding which was held at Maguire’s. We booked the Palms to stay for the weekend thurs-Sunday. Many of our guests booked rooms at the Palms as well. The customer service we received from Kerri and her staff at The Palms was unrivaled by anywhere we have ever been. We were there out of season and rooms were ready for us. We were met at the ferry by staff who brought all of our wedding stuff to where it had to be. Our older guests who were unable to walk distances were given rides in their golf cart to and from the ferry, their rooms, the church, the rehearsal party, the reception, back and forth to their rooms and ferry - anywhere they needed to go. Everything was coordinated perfectly. We had a rehearsal dinner at Castaways which was amazing. Breakfast was also served at Castaways every morning included in price of our rooms. All good things to say about Kerri and her staff. Isabella, one of the assistants working in the office even decorated the golf cart that took our daughter and new son-in-law to the reception. We had the very best time and would love to go back again.

The staff was so humble and accommodating. We were able to use all the amenities before and after checking and check out. If we needed something we received quickly. Beautiful updated room with granite kitchenette. No need to bring a hairdryer, soap, shampoo or conditioner, all comes in the room. Was a plus to allow my dog to stay as well. Only one issue with the maid not cleaning our room . Had to call at 5ish to remind them. Will definitely come again.

Perfect stay. Great, nice & professional staff. Very clean. Nice rooms. Central to shops & restaurants. Discounts at many restaurants. Loved using their bikes before we had to leave. Very helpful w luggage & ferry info during a weekend when the roads were all flooded.
