The old hotel was quite dated but did not disappoint, The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was a buffet breakfast which you help yourself to whatever you wish A good selection of hot food and also the food selection of continental food was good also, 5 star breakfast. Evening meal very good also would return again just for the food. Great location in the centre of town close to all amenities. Don't let other bad views of this hotel put you off as this hotel is good value for money.

Having read some very negative reviews I was uneasy about the booking which our group had made to stay here for several nights. What did I find ? Friendly welcoming staff, warm, spacious comfortable rooms and breathtaking views over the bay. Service in the dining room was good and the breakfast buffet offered a good range of hot and cold choices. The hotel lacks the uniformity of a corporate chain hotel but that's part of it's charm. It's not perfect but it was more than adequate for our needs. Would happily stay here again.

A little bit from the train station, so it is quieter. Looking at the sea, sitting in the hotel to see the sea, blue sky and white clouds, very beautiful. The breakfast was good, and the smoked salmon was more delicious than the traditional English breakfast at other hotels. After breakfast, I walked by the beach and saw the rainbow. I walked all the way and saw the rainbow changing. It was a surprise. Going to Scotland, recommending to Auburn, to Auburn, recommend this hotel.

it's a shame the hotel currently doesn't offer evening meals, as after a long journey the last thing we felt like was trying to find some where to have an evening meal. the hotel was very clean, comfortable & staff were friendly & helpful. the bathroom in the room we were in was small & compacted but functional, with the advantage of a large shower. the bar was always empty so didn't feel like being the only 2 in the bar so we didn't have any drinks, we didn't have breakfast it looked & smelt lovely. Feel it would have been a different experience if evening meal were being served. its a great location, saying this if in the area would use again

We stayed for 4 nights and only wish it had been more! From the moment we arrived to the time we left, we couldn't have been made more welcome by a wonderful owner, Karen, in accommodation that certainly lived up to it's billing. It is clear that no expense had been spared down to the most minor of details. We stayed in the Deluxe Suite that was most certainly 5 star with a view to die for. I don't know how Karen manages to offer such a huge breakfast menu but all of the choices we made were cooked perfectly and beautifully presented. Also of note, the recommendations that Karen made for places to visit and places to eat were all exceptional. It is clear that this owner has a wealth of experience and loves hosting and this is amply reflected in this stunning guest house. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Oban War & Peace Museum
二二十画生JQKThe Auckland War Memorial Museum was built in 1929 by locals to commemorate donations raised by their war dead. Above the building are the Honor Court and the first monument of the Auckland Monument (empty tomb) is a makeshift wooden and plaster structure. Built and designed by Sir EdwinLuytens at Whitehall, London, for the Peace Day event in July 1919. Luytens designed an empty tomb on the pedestal, very serious, without decoration or religious symbols, and engraved with "The Glorious Dead". The monument captures the grief of the Empire's inability to bring home the war dead, and a permanent Portland stone monument was built in 1919 for the first anniversary of the armistice as a permanent memorial. The Oakland Monument was copied from a film news clip because the original Whitehall design blueprint was deemed too expensive to buy.
