Check-in was poor. Arrived and we were told that the room wouldn’t be ready for another hour and that I’d get an email. 15 minutes later the email arrived. Headed back to the hotel, where we were given a room key and told “Second Floor”. No description of the facilities, food & drink, WiFi, pool, anything. We had to go exploring for ourselves to find out anything.
As we were tired after a long day of travel, we finally worked out how to order room service and made an order. Instead of the food coming on a plate and a tray, it was delivered to the door from the kitchen downstairs in a takeaway box and plastic carrier bag. The food itself was average at best.
The room was fine. Bed was firm and pillows soft. Shower had good power. Toilet paper was single-ply and cheap. Not good enough.
Overall the place was fine, could do with a little modernising and a lick of paint here and there, but generally fine. Could have been much more.
