Weather you're staying in a Palace or a small family run hotel, it is the way it makes you feel that is important. Arriving on a rainy evening in December, the Christmas tree was lit, the stairway beautifully decorated with flowers. In the reception, a basket of fruit, bowls filled with chocolates and sweets and plates full of cookies for guests to enjoy and feel warm and welcome. As we had had a bit of hard time getting to Nuremberg because of cancelled trains, we almost did not make it. Having been made aware of this, the owner upgraded us to a huge room in the apartment building across the street, a beautiful gesture which helped us quickly forget all the hassle and enjoy our stay. Before arriving I was a bit worried about the hotel being located outside the city walls, but after having walked around, I realized that we were much closer to attractions like the old town and the castle than the hotels situated in the station area. While a 12 minute nice walk along the castle ramparts took us to the main square, the nearest underground station was only five minutes away. If I come back to Nuremberg, I will stay here again. I would come back the comfort, the coziness of the reception and the restaurant, the quiet location and the warm and generous welcome Christina and her team reserve for their guests.
