第一，這個酒店是通過代理商預訂的，本來是入住兩天，由於本人行程變更，想推遲或取消預訂，結果通過攜程協調四天都沒有解決，代理商強硬拒絕，下單後不可以任何更改，沒有商量餘地，攜程也無法約束代理商，海外酒店電話和郵件都聯繫不上，而且有時差，溝通相當費勁。結果白白浪費一天酒店費用1000元，勸告大家海外的酒店千萬別通過代理商預訂，沒有任何保障。 第二，一個大人和一個小孩入住了這個酒店之後，發現根本不是酒店，是個荒野民宿，發現房間極小，設施巨破，第二天早餐極差，最最氣憤的是退房時，要收110美元説是早餐費和小孩加收費用，入住時候為什麼不説，這個民宿老闆******，出來咆哮，態度惡劣，要求必須交費離開，真是在海外身不由己，趕緊交錢離開，又賠了近1000元，這個酒店是黑店，千萬別去住了。

Flame Tree Cottages were an amazing find! We stayed here for 3 weeks, and every day was perfect! The staff are a complete credit to the hotel. They are super helpful, always smiling and nothing is too much trouble. The cottages are super cute, and positioned as such you don’t have neighbours, just your own beautiful gardens to look over. The food is amazing (especially the jumbo prawns, chapatis, and coconut pumpkin curry) and the restaurant is a front row seat for the wonderful sunset. There is nothing like eating dinner with your feet in the sand! And if you forget your sandals when you finish your dinner they are discreetly delivered to outside your door, thank you! The swimming pool is well equipped with sun beds and umbrellas and you can while away the time with just birdsong to keep you company. Staff will bring you drinks and snacks or meals by the beach, the pool or on your private veranda. We cannot rate Flame Tree Cottages highly enough. The staff and owners really care about their guests. Far better than an 500 room faceless hotel. Would recommend in a heartbeat. The hotel also has its own dhow, and they will take you for a sunset cruise from just outside the hotel for a small charge.

We stayed here on our first trip to Zanzibar. It’s a wonderful place; lovely team and wonderful owners. Really highly recommend! It’s a hotel that suite families and couples it’s not a place for rowdy teens. The restaurant on the beach serves great food with a lovely view of the sunset

We can really recommend flame tree! We are incredibly satisfied after a week in this wonderful place! It is a quiet place with a nice and relaxed a**osphere and really gives relaxation. The food at the restaurant is of the highest quality regardless of whether we ate fish, poultry, vegetarian or meat. We chose to eat pretty much all meals on site. It's also lovely to be able to sit on your own terrace and have breakfast. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The only negative, which perhaps especially the children found, was that the Wi-Fi did not work well at all. Many thanks for a wonderful week!

The hotel is very be dated on first impression. The rooms were comfortable and well maintained but the breakfast was terrible with very little choice and very poor quality ingredients. It was a very expensive stay for a very average experience.

Excellent. Lovely cottages in beautiful gardens. Very well run with the focus on ensuring everything is totally comfortable. We spent 6 lovely nights and can’t believe the staff can just keep smiling. Well done to Mohammed and all the team- just exceptional. Thank you.

Stayed at this awful hotel (Hibiscus room) with my sister for our first ever trip to Zanzibar. DO NOT STAY HERE PLEASE! We regret not staying at the Nungwi Beach Resort next door. 1. At check in- Flame tree cottage risks compromising your passport security to other guests as it’s all written in a hand-signed guestbook visible to all. When I asked about security concerns, I was told it was required by the Government. - need to update this outdated system. 2. Poor accommodations and services partly due to understaffing issues . - No activities for guests despite a board advertising them. 3. Hotel room and bathroom were very unclean with abundant mold growth (see pictures attached). ***Unhealthy for anyone especially for families with children. *** -False information given on an ocean view/front access from rooms. 4. Spray toxic mosquito repellent on bed-net, but have poor ventilation in rooms (see picture of bug spray used w/instructions on use). Smell of bug spray steeps into bed and leaves an intolerable smell. -Stains on bed covers (see pictures) and spiders in room. 5. Claim to have a resturant, but is almost always closed or so badly understaffed that it’s a false advertisement. - we ordered lunch on our 1st day and it was terrible quality of food with a limited handwritten menu. -For complementary breakfast, we also had very poor service and had to ask for tea bags for tea when given just water. ***This hotel needs to close down for serious renovations and stop tying to fill rooms for profits while ruining the experiences of its guests. DO NOT STAY HERE PLEASE! Go elsewhere!

The Flame Tree cottages are set in a large and lush beachfront garden on what is arguably the best location of Nungwi. The cottages are a bit dated but spacious with wonderful verandas. Airconditioning and wifi work well. Food and cocktails are great and the breakfast on the private veranda is a nice touch. The pool is very pleasant and there is also a Dhow sailboat owned by the Flame Tree on which you can take boat trips (at a fee). The staff are very friendly and helpful. A very relaxing experience!

We have had a really nice relaxing time at the Flame tree cottages. Stayed here six days after our safari in the Serengeti. Enjoyed the garden view from our veranda area with it's beautiful flowers where breakfast is served in the morning. Also the dinner was very good and nice serene a**osphere at the seaside. We loved it because of it not being too big and appriciated the personal contact with the very friendly and helpful staff. We made two day trips which were well arranged by the manager.
