"Don't know why the hotel or Trip has used the photo of a castle as the front page advert. The castle is not even close by. On the other hand, the Trip advert as well as the booking verification have given the dimension of a 3 m wide king size bed, which is another faw. I was educated by the staff what really was a uk king size bed, 5 feet wide! In the toilet, exhausted fan didn't work, low pressure shower with super slow drainage, had to stop midway to avoid flooding. TV in the room showed no picture despite calling for service. Paying extra for a buffet breakfast, which was served in a small room with very ordinary food. Much regret on paying more on the brand. Should have gone for cheaper stay nearby."

Room was very clean and well equipped. There are so few accessible rooms in Nottingham and this was top notch. Facilities a bit lacking for main meals. Local area a little run down too. "First time we stay in this Premier Inn in Nottingham, the location great place where it is, access to bars, restaurants and the shops. As always when we stay at Premier Inn as stay at Premier Inn in other cities, always sleep comfortable as the mattress and pillows is the best in my opinion and two staff members stood out. We would like to praise the Manager Donovan at Premier Inn and Alice who works in the restaurant. Donovan has such a nice aura about him, he was so welcoming, he's customer service was exceptional, down to earth, we had an issue which was resolved and this was due to Donovan excellence customer service which he made a positive experience and stay. Thank you Donovan it has been a pleasure talking with you and for Alice in the restaurant who was very bubbly, again welcoming and very down to earth, great customer service. Both members of staff great asset to Premier Inn."

"I was given a good-sized L-shaped room which met all my basic requirements - comfortable bed, excellent tv, efficient hot water system - and also had a (small) bath. Ideal no-frills accommodation to return to after a day out. Well located for the railway station, Trent Bridge cricket ground and both football grounds. City loop bus services 5-9 inclusive, and service 10 to Ruddington , all stop a little further up the hill in Maid Marian Way."

"The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff-team, and the cleanliness of our room and the hotel facilities stood out for us. The hotel was everything we needed for a short stay and well priced for its standard. The downstairs public areas have been nicely refurbed with a modern touch. The staircase to the bedrooms is narrow and would benefit from a refresh of the grey paint and grey carpet. The grey theme continues upstairs where the layout is quirky with narrow corridors and would benefit from a refreshed lighter look. Our Superior room was nicely prepared but had a curiously large empty space and a TV therefore too far away to watch from the bed. It would benefit from some comfy chairs and a coffee table. There was a rickety clothes rail instead of a wardrobe (the wardrobe alcove had lost its rail). Being at the front there was a degree of traffic noise. We’d stay again but ask for a basic room on the side of the building. There is car parking at the back, about 8 -10 spaces, accessed easily by turning left after the hotel, first left and left again, to come back down a one way street. I don’t know if it has CCTV but we experienced no problems. Breakfast is not their thing, a basic cooked meal (no choice/options) provided on request, but does the job, unless you have special requirements like GF foods."
