Olas Verdes Hotel

Lovely little hotel: the staff was very attentive and caring and went out of their way to make us comfortable. The food was amazing, compliments to the chef! We enjoyed the salt water pool and the wildlife around us. Very special to see iguanas and monkeys first thing in the morning. The hotel has what many others lack: character and pura vida vibes!

Spectacular hotel with very friendly and professional staff, always smiling and attentive to serve, we highly recommend this hotel. You can see that the hotel was really designed with the guests in mind and that is much appreciated. Comfortable, clean and spacious rooms, filled with details, and a restaurant with good food. Our room had fantastic views to the beautiful outdoor pools which we loved and also, from it we could see monkeys and listed to the birds, while the new days started. The hotel is just a few steps away from Playa Guiones and very close to restaurants and shops. We had a great time, we loved the hotel which was perfect to enjoy the magical vibe of Nosara, and we were happy to have stayed at Olas Verdes. Thank you!!!!

Private hotel where you are surrounded by wonderful green jungle plants at every turn. The staff at this hotel are so wonderful. The front desk team, restaurant team and grounds team all went out their way to ensure our family of 4 had the trip of a lifetime! Isabelle, Inez and the rest of the front desk team worked hard to book us on multiple excursions even when we changed our mind or wanted to book last minute. Bryan, Jo and the team at El Manglar made sure we were well fed and at the most delicious meals. They took the time to interact with our daughters and were just so pleasant. JP from the grounds team even came running after us on the path to the beach with an extra boogie board one day when we left with one less than we needed The daily laundry service is a huge bonus too we did not think we would use it much but loved it and used it daily! The pool is very well designed and larger than the photos make it. More often than not we were the only ones in the pool, but on the days another family was also out for a swim the set up allows it function like 3 private sections. Book this hotel now! It is on the south side of Guiones which is the quiet side. You will not regret it.

I have stayed at Olas Verdes several times and am always glad to come back. The rooms have recently been upgraded, the staff are gracious and well-trained, and the beach is just a few minutes’ walk away. Above all, the place has a uniquely Costa Rican charm — a 10 out of 10.

Olas Verdes is snuggled in the jungle, accompanied by the sounds of jungle animals and a short walk to a truly pristine beach. It is staffed by incredible people and complemented by a top rate restaurant, El Manglar, where the fresh ingredients sing. The tuna was off the chart. We couldn't be happier that we stayed here, Walks along a beach path to Guiones was a daily event. Tuk tuks are a required experience. We loved our stay and the people of Olas Verdes.

For our 17-person family reunion, we rented 2 guesthouses on the Olas Verdes property: Nacho Casa and Casa Verde. All aspects were outstanding, this place is a great value. The homes were comfortable and well designed. Also, I preferred this arrangement to an AirBnB because we were adjacent to the hotel and could easily use their restaurant and guest services. Highly recommend!
