Northampton South (Wootton)

Could not fault this hotel, everything was as expected clean rooms and very welcoming staff. Special mention for Jackie in the breakfast room and chef Jo. We were attending the funeral of a close friend so it was nice to be made welcome when we got back to the hotel. Have used Premier Inn in other areas and will continue to do so. Good value too.

I stayed here for work and met Jackie and Dan the chef during breakfast. Jackie initially made our whole group very welcome; taking care of all our needs and ensuring we were looked after! I then chatted with Dan who was incredibly friendly and happy to chat about work - his breakfast was superb and they are a credit to the company!

A little dates but bed as comfy as ever for Premier Inn Breakfast was absolutely delicious made by Chef Dan who was happy, warm and welcoming along with Server Jackie. Best Breakfast I have had in a hotel in a long time!!! Compliments to Dan and Jackie - both lovely

The room was clean and provided everything we needed for our three night stay. The bed was very comfortable and we had a peaceful sleep every night during our stay. The full English breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day. All the staff were polite, attentive and helpful. The Queen Eleanor Hungry Horse pub/restaurant located immediately next door is very convenient for lunch and dinner. This hotel is excellent value for money and we have already recommended it to friends. We will book again if we are visiting the area again in future. There was also plenty of free parking available during our stay.

I’ve been here 3 times for business and I’ve met chef Dan twice, he was helpful the first time making my bacon crispy for me and put it into a sandwich which was very nice and he went above and beyond today too when I woke up really late for breakfast and walked into an empty restaurant with nothing but scraps, and he’s gone and made me a bacon omelette that was meant to be for his break, top man like I said been here a few times, no one else has stood out like Dan so I really had to leave a review for him. Thanks Dan Mate!

Absolutely excellent breakfast by Chef Laura and server Jackie, very nicely presented and Jackie was really helpful helping us to negotiate the usual tricky toast machine. We have never been treated so well at breakfast in a Premier Inn, it made the whole experience better. Thank you.

Jackie was very welcoming at the Breakfast Bar with Chef Jo and asked if i have any allergies. Both served the best and were very cooperative. Overall the area was very clean and tidy and they have small area for the kids to do colour activity. Best place so far to stay with the family!

Great bed and wet room,very helpful staff and considerate to disabled people . Disabled parking very useful . Really understanding Nothing too much trouble for them just a pity wifi was off .which they were trying to get fixed will definitely be returning very soon

Ok, but would be unlikely to return. Good bits: - Friendly staff who gave us a warm arrival and even treated the kids to a free chocolate biscuit - Really nice breakfast room, which was clean and fresh looking. Breakfast was great. - Family room was an excellent size and layout - Next to a big Waitrose so easy to grab some snacks and other essentials Problems: - Our duvet had black stains on both sides. They looked like mould had rubbed onto the sheet from a washing machine seal. We requested a new duvet and were initially brought a cover and asked to change it ourselves. I started to but got the ick when I saw how stained duvet was under the sheet. I let the staff member know I wasn’t expecting to make my own bed. She had no problem with this and went off to find us a replacement. Unfortunately, this also had the same type of black stain on one side, but by this point we were tired so just flipped it over to avoid touching it. - One of the pillows had a blood stain. Although the case was clean, you could see the stain through it. We were given a replacement pillow. - Icky stains on the headboard - Some black mould and generally dirty grout in the bathroom, as well as a long hair stuck to the tiles - The toilet paper was really far away from the toilet, so the kids couldn’t reach it - The extractor fan didn’t work in the bathroom so toilet smells lingered, as did steam from using the shower. There was a large gap under the door that allowed smells out, which wasn’t very pleasant - The room was roasting hot when we arrived, although we were able to resolve this by turning off the radiator and opening the window
