frontier cabin. The cabin itself is very rustic with one double bed and one twin. I must say the walls are very thin and you can hear your neighbors quite well.Make reservations to eat in lodge way ahead. We ate at the deli next door every night.

I never thought I would experience any place west of the Mississippi River more majestic in beauty than Glacier National Park in Montana, but the Grand Canyon North Rim is certainly its equivalent in a very different way. Absolutely breathtaking! How very blessed I am to have been able to have this experience! Absolutely a must see.

Western style cabin, $340 a night . Basic room. Seemed over priced considering the accommodations, but you have no choice. Bed was comfortable. Worn furniture. Old subway tile in bathroom that had a plugged sink that drained poorly. Bugs crawling in the room was a problem.

We stayed in the motel and is was ever worst than we were expecting. The room was not clean and did not have hot water. We checked out early. While the options are limited, I would recommend coming in for the day and staying somewhere outside of the park.

This is a honest review of a western cabin It is not our first time staying in a western .cabin , and not our first time staying in NP lodging. It’s important to qualify NP lodges get an enormous amount of travelers, hence wear and tear, this is understood . but it is never an excuse to be assigned a cabin with no hot water, a sink that doesn’t drain , towels racks that fall off the wall and chairs so stained there greasy, with who knows and don’t even want to think about it If Aramark refuses to refresh and repair rooms , they should be fired As customers if we should demand at cleanliness and basic amenities , hot water Never fall into to well these are NP lodging , you go for the incredible view excuses that’s what’s Aramark wants you to do. We hiked the North Kaibab to Roaring Springs and back . We just wanted a hot shower and a chair to sit in while we took off our hiking boots at the end of the day . We checked out after one night at our $300 disaster

We did not stay, but ate lunch. First, the host said we could not be seated until our entire party was present, even though the restuarant was mostly empty. Ok, we waited for our friends, then asked if we could sit at a window table and the host said we would have to wait a half hour to sit at that table because it was a different server's table and they had to take turns. I mentioned the fact that the restuarant hardly had any customers, so why would we have to wait for one table, but not another? She pointed to the manager and said it was "her rules". OK, how about the other table? She said that table was seating for five, but we only had four, so we couldn't sit there either. After speaking to the manager personally, we confirmed there was no compromising with this woman. The hosts later mentioned to us that she normally worked in the kitchen with a different manager and would not work as host again after today. The menu was small and prices expensive (which we assumed would be the case). Food was good and server was perfectly fine. The overall experience wasn't bad, but the short attitude and irrational rules of the manager earned the 2 star review. It was apparent her employees weren't happy either.

This review is relatively objective - I stayed solo for 2 nights in July. Despite day visitors, plenty of car parking available. Friendly, helpful staff. I’ve previously stayed in the cabins, but being solo this trip opted for the ‘motel’ room option. Room 416 was pretty basic, but was comfortable and clean - offering a good nights sleep with the meshed window open and fan operating (no aircon). The narrow balcony corridor outside was equipped with benches to sit and drink a pleasnt cold one looking out through the forest. As expected, the WiFi was patchy, but did enough for me. I didn’t use the restaurant, but ate from the limited choices in the Deli - not inside the Deli though as it was uber hot. Decent enough food. Location and relative peace/quiet is the raison d’etre for the North Rim Lodge, and of course it delivered this in spades with stunning views from the Main Lodge terraces and adjacent footpaths/view points. Having said that, the views to the North Rim from the zoo like South Rim are better due to the nature of the erosion on the North side. Neither cheap nor over priced, but compared to the Lodge at Bryce Canyon, much better value.

Extremely helpful, friendly and pleasant staff. We stayed in an 80 year old cabin which was very rustic and basic but with bags of character. Sadly there were a group staying in the adjoining cabin who were extremely loud and had no respect for neighbors at all. We didn’t realise the cabins are linked by an internal locked door. The walls are paper thin and we heard all their conversations. If we were to come back we would rent a detached property to avoid this.

The lodge, dining room and cabins here are from another era -- breathtaking views from the lodge itself, a grand dining room (and very limited other food serice, though there is a little "deli"), and small but functional cabins with minimal updates. But one doesn't come here for the cabin experience -- but rather for the experience of seeing and hiking the much less traveled North Rim, minus tour buses, commercial attractions, and crowds. For all that, this old-fashioned place scores a 10!
