Riverside Hotel

The hotel is located just outside the city center (10 min walk to the city center). nice located on a lake and little park (walk around the lake is 2KM). There is a restaurant next door. Breakfast was until 12! and very good incl warm food as well. Room was spacious and get a room with lake view.

Forst of all: Lovely location, overlooking a lake. Consequently, I asked for a room with lakeview. I was told I have one, but found out it was to the back side (road with pretty good traffic. When I reported back to front desk, they told me that there was no way I could get a lakeside room, or I would have to pay double (!) the nightly price ... At ***********, I checked that rooms with laveview were available, at just 10€ extra. I asked again to contact management whether I could get such a room at a surcharge. The answer was "No" - I filed a complaint letter to management which I never received a response to. The air condition could not be switched off, same as in other rooms. Sauna was switched on on request - however staff left sauna door open, thus the sauna area was pretty warm, but the sauna itself only lukewarm. Happened on both nights of my stay ... The room itselve is quite nice, also the restaurant area is looking nice. However, the foold is pretty plain, very long waiting time for food and drinks, staff very nice, but not competent. The hotel has displays all over telling that the client is in the center of everyting the hotel staff does. Maybe so, but definitively ownership and management could not care less about their guests´satisfaction. Never again!

Good Big Roms with view over the Lake. Nice rustik furnitures etc. All staff very friendly and great service. Location is very Nice at the Lake. Good food. I like the decorations of the Restaurants inside and outside. There is also a very Nice brakfast buffet included.

That experience was not really that good. Our Airco didn’t work and on all alternative rooms it also didn’t work. There was no stuff who would be able to fix that doing the weekend - but also not any other solutions has been offered. Stuff always was very friendly but did forgot about you once you left the room

Bedroom and food spot on. Clean and tidy. Service level extremely poor. long wait for drinks and food. No common sense used by staff i.e. bring food, no cutlery, no condiments. bring drinks, don't take back empties. ordered a floater coffee, came in a normal coffee cup, etc etc. Fred, was very nice and did his best under what looked to be difficult circumstances. Nice location. Would I stay again? would probably give them another chance.

We hadden een Kapitänszimmer op de bovenste verdieping, mooie kamer met mooi uitzicht, echter erg warm. Recht tegenover ons was de sauna, maar die begon al in de gang, waar het meer dan 30 graden was. Gelukkig werkte de airco in de kamer dus konden we het koel krijgen. Er was volgens ons niet gestofzuigd want er lag vuil en haren op de vloer. Keukentje was ook fijn, badkamer ook in orde. Vrij smal bed maar lag ok. Ontbijtbuffet is prima, maar ik had me verheugd op lekker knapperige brötchen….. dit waren veel stevigere en zwaardere broodjes.toen wij een drankje bestelden aan de bar kregen we een dubbel zo grote en moesten er ook voor betalen……
