Cardamon Hotel Nilaveli

We had a lovely oceanfront view at this newish hotel. We were there for three nights at the end of February, which apparently is before”season”. there were two chairs out on the deck to appreciate the view, but it was normally too hot to sit out there. There was also a rack so that you could dry your swimsuits and towels. The room had good air-conditioning, and was well furnished, although the beds were very old and both were so squeaky that it was hard to get a good night sleep. they need to replace the frames or the mattresses or both. Unfortunately, with the incredible view to the beach, they did not keep the windows in the lobby, or in the room is clean to appreciate the view. Desmond, or Contact, and manager at the front desk was very nice, very accommodating, and wanted to take care of us. the evening manager was also nice but I can’t remember his name. Unfortunately, when we wanted to have a beer at 8:30 PM there was nobody to be found, and when we finally did find someone there was no ice either. Hard to believe in a hotel of this size that they don’t even have an ice tray. there was hardly anybody staying at the hotel, and we found out that this hotel is owned and it was easy to tell because the air-conditioning remote was all in Chinese. That being said, what a beautiful beach. The sand is so soft and the water temperature is perfect. There are no rocks on the beach and you can walk very far into the surf without getting into deep water. It would be perfect for children. This is not a sunset beach. It is a sunrise beach. Breakfast was included(but very boring with terrible coffee) but we found a sweet place next-door called Moon Isle that had amazing breakfast for less than ₹2000 and we chose to have all of our breakfast there. I would definitely recommend having meals next-door at Moon Isle, or on the right hand side of the property at a place called Memos Cabanas. Mimmo is a beautiful place to take pictures and have a cool drink and lunch. We did not have dinner there. We also rented motorbikes, but it’s pretty dangerous to drive around.. I would recommend this hotel because the room was comfortable, oceanfront view and the air conditioning worked well.

Cardamon Hotel Nilaveli is Wonderful! It’s located right on the beach so the views from the room are amazing. The room we had was very nice, all made of wood and with a terrace. The staff there was super helpful, they allowed us to do a late check out, and even packed our lunch and kept our water cold. We are very happy we chose Cardamon hotel

The place is great...comfy and really easy going!! Love the fact that they will try to accommodate your plan with arranging Tuk TuK, Boat for whales diving, elephant safari, and even ask what we would like for every meal. The service is just great. We visited during the time that they didn't have many guests...and the staff are not that many...but we didn't feel that we are missing anything!! Everything was perfect!! We would come again for sure!!

Staff are super friendly. Tnx to the housekeeping team for a great job. Restaurant staff were also very friendly and accommodating. Great view right on the beach, and walkable to town. If the hotel is full, they kitchen can’t accommodate ala carte, but if it’s not full they’re happy to make your requests and always check if you like the food which was sweet.

This and five more of them came out after my shower. Avoid this ‚hotel’ as far as you can. I left the hotel after one minute of this event. The hotel is old and probably that is the reason for such suprise. No need to say more.

A use less hotel.not worth for money.they charged 12000/= for half board double.we were served koththu roti,fried noodles,chicken curry for dinner and milk rice,parata and chicken curry for breakfast.

Hotel frente a una buena playa, es lo único bueno que tiene. Muy poco cuidado y muy sucio. Habitaciones muy amplias pero con malos colchones, bastante sucia, con moho en el baño y unas toallas bastante viejas y con manchas. Faltaba luz en el baño y a pesar de reclamar no lo arreglaron hasta que nuestro guía protesta. Hamacas en la playa con unas colchonetas que no invitan a tumbarse. Desayuno con posibilidad de cuatro opciones pero que son todas lo mismo y muy poco apetecible No ha sido una buena experiencia para un lugar idílico

Hotel al que le falta una actualización de las habitaciones. Son espaciosasy la cama cómoda, pero el mobiliario está viejo. Tiene playa con lo que las hamacas están cerca del agua. Piscina grande. El personal muy amable y los precios de la comida (buena) no son desorbitados. Un pelin caro en relación calidad/precio.

Nous ne sommes pas allés à l'hôtel mais nous avons passé un après-midi sur les transats (après autorisation du staff) nous avons consommé différentes boissons Personnel très agréable surtout une femme peut-être la responsable très gentille Si l'hôtel est de même niveau top
