Niko Seaside Resort

A great hotel in Agios N. At Creta Greece🇬🇷A high service level with a friendly staff. Clean is the usp of this hotel!!! But also it’s beauty and view on the sea.. Breakfast just as amazing as the view from the Mira restaurant and terrace. Special was the valid parking for our rental for free….

We enjoyed our one week stay at the hotel, which commenced with a great greeting at the checking in and help from the bellboy with the cases and explanation of the features in the room. The room was in the snug side with little closed away storage and the shower had no privacy. Although the room was very comfortable with a great bed and comfortable pillows. The towels changed daily along with the pool towels and fresh water. Great products provided for the wash areas too. Breakfast was very tasty although frequently ran out of bowls and took a long time to either be seated or wait for orange juice. Although we were not in a rush so did not mind this, but did lack some overall leadership in the morning. The bar staff throughout the day on level 5 and 9 are great and work hard, particularly Lenka on level 9. The pool areas were great although not enough sun loungers for the guests in the rooms. We had a car so ventured out most days. The hotels is a great location within Agios Nikolas and easy to walk to places directly from the hotel. I would recommend staying in this hotel, just be aware of these points before booking.

Overall a nice hotel with nice rooms, good facilities and excellent food, however a few things for others to consider... Main pool suffers an 8:30 rush for sunbeds with people queuing at 8:20 and all beds gone by 08:32. Put simply - not enough. Also little enforcement of their policy of removal of belongings from unused beds. Top floor pool is a better option for space. Service in restaurant was often very patchy...staff not offering coffee/juice when they seat you. Several times I had to get my own from their coffee station after asking 2 or 3 times. Evening meals though were generally tasty but wine pretty expensive given the mediocre quality of the choices available. TV not a priority but when called upon the station options were limited and often simply not working. Recommend bringing own content and streaming to your TV over the hotel WiFi - works better than most hotels who offer this. A nice holiday but left feeling the hotel just lacked quality in the fine details for what is supposed to be a 5 star.

One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in! When we arrived we were surprised with a room upgrade, the rooms were clean and modern and even had clarins toiletries! The infinity pool had the most amazing view overlooking the sea! The hotel location was ideal and was a short walking distance to the sea and nearby lake which had lots of restaurants and bars and lovely shops. The staff at the hotel were all really friendly too. We had a later flight on the last day and were so pleased we were offered a shower in the spa area which you often don’t have access to showing facilities at other hotels as you have to check out in the morning. The only thing we would say is that if you are half board the dinner choices are very fine dining and the vegetarian options weren’t always substantial meals compared to the meat options. Another thing to add is like majority of hotels, you need to get down to the pool no later than 8:30am to secure a sun bed for the day. Overall we would stay here again and would highly recommend!

AVOID!! On arrival we were told there was an issue on the floor we were staying on and there is no room for us to stay there. They said we could stay in the Intercontinental 100 yards down the road which we accepted as this was all we were offered. I’m unsure what would have been the outcome had I not accepted this, but I didn’t want to have nowhere to stay The hotel did not even contact us once to see how we were, until I emailed them stressing my frustration. They said we can use the facilities still but I’ve no interest in having to walk 100 yards to a buffet breakfast or pool, which we now have. They then offered me a room with 3 days of my holiday left after my complaint which I rejected as it would disrupt our holiday further and mean we would have had to move mid afternoon meaning we couldn’t venture out. They did not even offer a free meal or offer any sort of compensation! Totally distraught with the service levels.

Our holiday to Niko Resort was 5 star from when we arrived. When we got off the coach we were welcomed with a cool towel and an ice cold drink whilst waiting to check in. We were then given a free upgrade to floor 8 with a plunge pool. The room was immaculate and very modern, with an incredible view from the balcony. All the staff at the hotel were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. We were half board , the breakfast was very good with a great selection on the buffet. The evening meal was also very good , with a different choice each night for the main course. The pool area was great, we went everyday on floor 5, the only criticism was the rush for sunbeds at 8.30am. As long as you were in the queue for 8.15qm you would get one for the day. The location was also great , very close to the lovely town with lots of shops, bars and restaurants. It was also my birthday whilst we were at the hotel and the staff left a bottle of Prosecco and chocolates in the room. Over all a 5 star holiday , we would recommend this hotel to anyone. The stay at Niko seaside surpassed our expectations. Staff were so welcoming from the get go. They greeted us with an amazing refreshing drink and surprised us with a free upgrade to the junior suit with a stunning sea view. Breakfast was exceptional with a wide variety to choose from. The pool area is beautifully designed and the beach is just a few steps away! Highly recommend especially for couples who are looking for a luxurious get away

2nd stay,following 5 nights last year, one week this year.The view from the room,how they clean sunbeds,pool area from early morning,nice selection of breakfast and services,smiles at the reception,very nice new SUSHI chef!Everything was so nice,and need to come back!

Possibly the best hotel we have stayed in. Certainly some of the best staff we have had the pleasure to meet. In the restaurant we were met at breakfast by the ever smiling Loykia and served with our tea and coffee by the very attentive Eftichia, both of these ladies were brilliant and deserve a mention. Konstantina on reception/concierge was also very helpful and always with a kind smile. All of them mad our stay better. Speaking of the restaurant, well, we only did B&B and the range, amount and food were all beyond exceptional. Possibly the best breakfast range we have ever had. Food was hot, tasty and immaculate - with little plusses like having your bacon and eggs made to order by the chef - so if you wanted crispy bacon or runny fried eggs! The rooms were stunning, modern, spotless and, get this - the toiletries were all Clarins, Maids came in everyday, and again, the maids were all brilliant and attentive. The pool is great, although, as is the situation with all hotels, there is a huge queue for the sunbeds from 8.15am, so if you're the sort who pays for a luxury hotel, in a fabulous resort, on a beautiful island who wants to lie on a bed and crisp yourself all day, you can. Really, such a fantastic hotel, we will be going back again - ASAP!
